| If average coaches dont make players bad, Saints would have hired a dog to replace Anderson, and Leeds would have hired Dick Cheney to replace Smith instead of splashing out on the NZ coach

If you're seriously contending that we'd be playing better in a heap than we are now, then you really are deluded

We wouldn't still be at The Boulevard as we'dve gone out of business by now.

I feel obliged to point out that I have no desire to actually go back to the Boulevard, the KC is a great stadium, it's just been let down by the home teams playing there recently!
It was more a comment about the comittment of the side.

Totally agree. Great coaches turn players into better players. Just look at the likes of Man Utd for example, the players they bring in are usually already good but they turn them into even better players.

As a matter of interest before this season what has Mick Potter won as a coach ?

The admiration of many for coaching a side to the top 3 in superleague?

I prefer a different approach. (as is evident)
I like to use 2 starting props that will work hard but then i like to bring on my 2 impact props, my impact 2nd row and my impact 9 all at the same time for the last 20 and blow the other team out of the water. A bench of Lauaki, Moa, Houghton and Manu is capable of doing that easily.

If that's your preferred way of playing then that bench is perfect for it.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

Catalans have a big pack would you be tempted to have Moa, Lauaki and another prop on the bench alongside Houghton?

Only if Lauaki needed to play in the back row. I wouldnt carry 3 interchange props. With Cats size i would just adopt a game plan thats a little bit more expansive to tire them out. (opposite to Peter Sharps tactics of running straight at them for 75 mins to tire them out)
