he, lee radford, did a interview with hdm saying he wanted a new deal to be sorted when he'd alreadly signed for bradford.

Think we're getting this out of proportion. Radford is not a captain or a leader , he's an average workhorse SL player who's been given a job which he hasn't the tools to do. He's trying to lead a poor lightweight and dispirited pack with not a lot of help , perhaps hinderance , from the coaching staff. If he was at Sts or Leeds he'd do OK as a support act from the bench when needed. I'm no fan of his game but equally I don't see him as one of the guys not trying , he's just a steady eddy , not good enough for the role he's being asked to play and becoming increasingly dejected. Maybe his big mistake was agreeing to take the captaincy on in the first place.

Morning Lee. To be a workhorse player surely you'd be have to able to play longer than 10 minutes without being knackered?

I remember reading Peacocks book and there was a funny story regarding Radford. Something very roughly along the lines of----------
We were in the changing rooms ahead of the GF and Noble was giving the team talk. He turned to me (Peacock) and said you are one of the best backrows in the game. now go out there and prove it. Not knocking Lee as he was important to the Bulls as the workhorse of the side but thats what his role to that side, a workhorse. The fact is he is a good role model in the way he conducts himself which is why he probably made captain but we need more than that and also whilst his workrate is still good he is not as effective these days which probably is not helped with the pack he is playing with either, too many average workhorse type players.
