as yet the club haven't officially announced his signing,but ,if true,will be an excellent player for us.the signings we are making for next season are encouraging,being a mix of youth and experience.the names of jordan turner and jamie rooney have been banded about,but as yet no official news from anywhere,but turner is a bright prospect,and rooney is an experienced pro who,if able to put his problems behind him(health),would provide good competition.this would then enable us to utilise both rich horne and jordan tansey at full back,both of whom would do a fantastic job,though i suspect,tansey is coming to replace byrne,which would mean us not having a 'natural' full back.so will we go out and bring in another player for the full back role or stick with the 2 mentioned?as for kingy and thacks i think there days at hull are numbered,even though if we can do it cheaply,i would keep thacks,if he was prepared to act as backup only

O'meley vs Gibbs

I must admit that i'm a bit underwhelmed by this.

I have a mate in Sydney who watches the Roosters every week and a few weeks back I told him that we were linked with Kite and O'Meley. His reply was that Kite would be a class signing but he doubted that we would get him and that it would probably be O'Meley, who he said has been terrible for 2 years.

I've just spoke to him this morning and he answered the call laughing at me!

Could be the character our pack's been lacking. Looking good now in the forwards.

With the latest cop-out on reclassifying players as fed-trained, it's hard to tell.

I'm under the opinion that if Tony leaves, Hame will be qualified as fed trained and that we have one more Oz signing in us... No idea though

are you are tier 1 or a tier 2 hull kr fan?

Really not sure about this signing. On his day he was a beast, but that's going back a fair few years now and his career has gone downhill since then.

I hope he can recapture his form of years gone by but this is a big risk in my opinion, especially on the back of a serious knee operation.

My thoughts exactly

Great signing imo. He has missed a few game due to injury this season, but played 28 games I think last season for the roosters, so he is hardly the injury prone has been that some would have us believe.

I suppose there is always an element of risk when signing someone that needs an opp, but the positive for us is that it is getting done this week so he has plenty of time to get ready and refreshed for next season.

I am pretty confident that he will come here and give us the aggresion and power in the forwards that we need.

Realistically he's the best player we've got a chance of getting imo.

Brent Kite was never going to come atm with playing Origin and being very much in the international scene. It's very rare that a player is going to come over here from Aus to in their prime and even if he isn't at the level he used to be, he's a million times better than Kingy/Thacks.

Quality signing and a big step in the right direction for our pack.

We could utilise him as a physio though!
