| Would be interesting to see any games York played whilst our creative coach was in charge there. Bet the old 5 drives/e kick was employed there.

| Agar is very inexperienced at this level, that is obvious. So things like interchanges and tactics can go down to that, and in time he will learn. Personally I don't mind us playing safe rugby, Harlequins do it all the time and are pretty sucessful with it, but we don't have the pack and the kicking game to be able do it well. At least not consistantly.
Anyway, so Agar isn't experienced, and tbh the only way he is going to get that experience is by coaching at that level (whether we should have recruited an inexperienced coach in the first place is another debate all together). Sharp on the other hand, has been a first team coach for years, so why isn't he having a say in interchanges etc? If Agar goes I can guarantee that we won't recruit from outside, Sharp will go straight in. Will anything change? I doubt it.
I would give him till the end of the season at least. Who knows, we might win on Friday and go on a run that takes us into the top 4. I know people say talk is cheap when players are talking about needing one win to turn things around. Personally I would agree with that because a big problem for us atm is confidence imo.

I disagree there. Plenty on here are younger and even more inexperienced than Agar, but it still seems like they/we can spot duff tactics and use (or lack of) interchanges quicker and better than he can. If a player's knackered, give him a rest. It's common sense, not a closely guarded tactical secret of the greats.

I get the feeling that Agar isnt flexible about changing his approach either. He acknowledged that his interchange tactics werent great but hasnt then done anything about it. He acknowledges that we play poor stupid rugby, but then hasnt done anything about it. He's acknowledged that he doesnt study opposition teams to prepare for playing them. What the hell does he do?

I've said before, I think our past 3 coaches have all had the same poor quality of telling us what's wrong and not fixing it. It's just been to varying degrees of ineptitude.

Yup, tbh its nice to hear them acknowledge the failings of the side even though they spin it like hell, but i want to see what he is doing about it. He says the senior players have let us down and then simply drops 2 kids. Im starting to think he is honestly as thick as 2 short planks. He doesnt seem to have a clue about what he is doing and about what he says and the impact of this on his reputation and credibility.

A trait unfortunately shared with the majority of our players. Not a good combination.
Edit: Anyone who can come up with a line like "Willie gives us plenty of penetration" in his pre-match piece is either oblivious or a comedy genius.

Im hoping that the players put him up to it and we actually have an ounce of team spirit. Think it is more likely to be an oblivious stupid statement though.
