| Quote: Mrs Barista "Saints are better than us man for man in virtually every one of the 17 named players. They have a very good coach and are top of the table, looking a good shout for the double. We've lost far more home games than we've won this season, much the same as last year. And then, in the game itself, I don't believe Saints ever needed to get out of second gear. We had a good go at it and the effort was there but we don't have the personnel to turn them over.
Correct, if we'd not made stupid errors at key moments also we would have competed far better. We made it easy for Saints, but IMO even if we'd executed a decent gameplan with appropriate interchanges they still have too much for us.'"
before last night Saints had only beaten us twice at the KC, once was a protest over Kear the other a narrow win last season after we ditched Sharp.
they have the same salary cap to spend, have a crap ground to maintain and smaller crowds.
why is it that they are light years away from us? and even more worryingly why are some of our fans just happy to accept were rubbish and never going to trouble Saints?
I felt Saints were very much in 3rd gear last night, whilst our display is unfortunately the best Agar and the players can come up with

yes when playing a team as good as saints are, and we were still in it for 37 mins of the first half and they put sum effort in in the second half too.

Players who play one of the toughest sports in the world for the team you love give 80 minutes of effort and commitment and they dont deserve you banging yours hands together for 30 seconds? Yep we will agree to disagree on that one

I dont get the context of using things like 'vs a team like saints'
Shouldnt they be saying 'going to KC playing a team like Hull'

| We were lacking in execution. But I didn't think we played badly and it wasn't a 30-6 game imo. We showed a bit of spirit defending our line for once. We tried to offload the ball more. Thorman responded well to an awful performance against Leeds. We tried a few new things such as the cross field kick for Calderwood, the try was a really smart piece of play and imo until the try were Tony let the ball bounce we were well in the game. We were just beaten by the best side in the league (comfortably the best side in the league), there is no shame in that. If we play like that for the rest of the year we will make the playoffs imo. We need Manu back and Luaki here soon though because we do lack penetration.

You're right, 36-6 may have been a more reflective score if our new scrum 1/2 had his kicking boots on. 6 tries to 1 at home is a drubbing by anyone's standards

| Quote: UllFC "was it the tannoy woman who's so poor you don't know who's in the lineup?
was it a response to the comedy hooter?
was it a celebration of us scoring 1 try in 80mins?
was it delight at us winning 2 games in 10 and being out of the cup?
answers on a postcard because really I'm baffled'"
i wasn't clapping any of these but i was clapping the team for giving another 100% effort again. i'm sure that the players don't walk onto the pitch and decide to only give a e performance, it's just that they lack the ideas of what to do when where close to the try line. i never have and never will walk out before the end, or not clap the players. i was disgusted with how many people walked out last night. what's our song again,
old faithful
we roam the range together
old faithful
in any kind of weather

| Quote: yello-belly "imo the effort deserved to be applauded.
We were well beaten by a good Saints side, but the score should have been closer. We had sufficient field position to have scored another couple of tries at least, but still look clueless in the red zone.'"
I think that was a very poor Saints performance yesterday, we were poor with out final tackle plays and the kicking game was dire.
Luckily we beat you in the pack or it could have been a very boring game yesterday with two packs at loggerheads.

| I stayed and applauded because they all tried, they certainly were not good enough, nor were our tactics, particulaly off the bench but that snot their fault and for me personally the players tried!

Bet Kath and the Board are well pleased thats our song. They must be pi$$ing themselves, cos in 'any kind of weather' the fans will keep turning up to watch crap.
We are one of the best supported clubs in the league yet we underachieve season after season. They know the fans will keep turning up to watch dross, we have a Grade A license, what is the point in the club trying to emmulate what Leeds and Saints have. We continue to fill their coffers and in return we get 'effort' and an inept 'coach'!

| The team put in a decent effort until the last quarter when they realised they had no chance and just went through the motions. That last quarter was just like a training session for both sides.
I stayed and applauded just to show that I wasn't sinking to the level of the miserable bar stewards round us who swore and cursed and grumbled the whole time after Saints had scored their first try. They might think they're clever with their "witty" shouted comments about players and coach but they spoiled the night for me and a few others I suspect. I'm seriously thinking of moving somewhere else in the East Stand next season.

| Although I stayed to clap the effort, I got despondent on the way home and thought that's it! I've had enough!! So I nailed my pass to a tree, this morning I went back and some bar barsteward had pinched the nail!!
