Quote: PAUL M "Washy has been a massive miss for us this season, to have him and Whiting back is excellent news. Despite all the doom and gloom I don't think we are that far off being a good side and we could easily finish in the top four.'"

A massive positive from the game. First time i've seen him so was dissapointed he wasn't bigger as there's no doubt we lack size but thought he had a top game. The biggest plus was that he's obviously a bit of a ball player, he wasn't just driving it forward, he stepped a couple of times, looked good on his feet and crucially he does have some pace. Also a couple of massive hits, one on Fattyvaloo at one point.

Maybe had to play a little longer because unless i'm mistaken, King didnt return second half.

Plenty of ifs and buts.

Having now seen every team, I don't see Hull as a top 4 side and i don't see Rovers as one either (despite only being 1 point of third spot . icon_wink.gif )

Quote: The Hollywood Frasier "Thought Washbrook made a massive difference today as he is such a smart footballer plus a running and passing threat which we lack when Radford starts at 13.
The off the ball running for the Calderwood and G.Horne try was very good but its a shame we had to go behind by so many points before we start actually spreading the ball out.

If you compared our sets from the first half when we were in Saints 20 to the sets in the second half it would look like a entirely different side.'"

As you have said on countless occaisions, Radford is used as a 3rd prop at LF as is the way the game is played now. Play him as a conventional prop and we may find a place for Washy/Whiting at LF and have a ball running LF.

Seeing Whiting back against Rovers was so refreshing. Someone with good defence, not a little guile, vision and (dare I say) showing some pace. Loose man or 6 would be a great spot for him.

I don't know if that was sarcastic or whether you mean it. Either way, I think your list shows how hard to pick it really is. And you have chosen two teams that Hull have beaten and one we haven't played. On their current form, now might be a good time to play Leeds.

I wouldn't like to call the top four at the moment and, because of that, can't see why Hull couldn't be counted amongst them.

If i was being sarcastic i'd have put Wire in there icon_lol.gif

The two teams you have beaten are now playing some of the best rugby in the comp. If Hull played them now they'd wipe the floor with you.

Agree about Leeds though.

Quote: Gordon Gekko "If i was being sarcastic i'd have put Wire in there That's kind of my point: things change. Not long ago, people were saying how poor Cats and Huddersfield were and yet now those same people might consider them top-four contenders. In three games time ( icon_razz.gifRAY: ) the whole table could be completely different.

Think i am right in thinking we are one of the few teams who has a 3rd prop at LF. This means we need more interchanges as a conventional loose forward stays on for a full game ie sinfield. This means we could spell our second rowers (finally) and we will have 3 ball players on the park giving us more options in attack.

personally would have washbrook at 13 and have whiting at right centre if it was up 2 me

As we dont seem to use our full 12 thats obviously not the thinking of our coach.

have noticed this too. wat is the reasoning 4 this?

we have 12 interchanges so we should use them in order to keep players as fresh as possible

some of our players look fooked and we are not giving them a break
