The West stand is fuller than ever due to the family zone and unreserved sections, but there were a lot of gaps in the East (which is now smaller due to the away section) and I dont think the South Reserved section is working that well as we now have big gaos behind the posts.

I too was a bit disapointed with the crowd, first non-tv game of the year and i thought we'd get over 11k.

Then again whenever the club has had got a big crowd in (warrington end of last year, Catalan the other week) we have flopped, its hard to retain new fans if they have been underwhelmed previously.

If they charged reasonable prices, I'd drink plenty, but because they don't, I don't drink any. So basically they just don't want my money.

I'll do my drinking before hand and give my money to somebody who doesn't want to rob me.

If they served beer at a reasonable price, more people would drink there, instead of going to a pub.

I was taking the Fxsters, a continued winning stretch (everything crossed) will see 15k crowds, let the away supporters in for free, get the KC Stafium to life.

The club need to market away travel, and not need you to go to the KC to book it. The City Centre shop is a joke, the staff can hardly tie their own shoes, it looks like a jumble sale

Also, I dont see there to be a need to compare the attendance to the equivalent game last season. The barometer for the gate was set 7 days before. Did Saints Bring over 700?? I very much doubt it.

Oh, and it really isn't that expensive (ticket for the game) as some would like to make out. This is top level sport. If you think its too expensive, check out tickets to top level football, concerts or theatre.

Maybe not too expensive if you're a well paid accountant with PWC but for a family with a couple of kids living on minimum wage finding £50+ for the 2nd time in a week might be a bit of a stretch

looked to be less than a 100 from Widnes, I thought the atmosphere was way better than the Saints game, well done the the 10,800 that generated it, had a great night and an easy commute from Pudsey, back in the pub for 10.55 to be met by the local Whino brigade who were bigging up their win over Trinity.

Cant wait for GF its about time we stuffed em, it will be a lot sweeter too as the annual pub trip to the costa del sol is on the Tuesday

Agree - it wasn't too bad as Widnes aren't exactly crowd pullers and its been a long time since Hull really turned it on at home.

On the other hand the atmosphere was much better, especially as it was hardly an edge of the seat or controversial game. Building crowds back up is hard work but failure produces more rapid and severe effects, a good year this season and next would be very helpful. Too often in recent years Hull have blown it at big events at home - hopefully this is a thing of the past.

The beer has always been expensive and bloody awful,so nothing new.Are the 3 home games attendences up on the Sam fixture last year?..if they are then thats good and looking healthy.As for not going and finding excuses,people will,I cant attend matches now due to work hours being altered and I now work a Friday until 8pm and am at work on a Thurs and have set hols.

Yes. Catalans attendance was 2k up, total increase in the three games based on last season's regular fixtures is 3,065.

Think it was a good attendance for a game against Widnes to be fair especially as two home games on the trot for many who pay as they go for a family can be a stretch.

What you talking about? I do attend, but I'd also like a tizer or two, while I'm enjoying the game, but I don't like paying £4.20 for a bottle of Carling, so I'm gonna have a little moan about it, because I like moaning.

I paid £26 to sit in reserved East (I decided not to renew my general membership) plus my rail fare from Hertfordshire last week so that's probably 4x more than what most season ticket holders will pay for a game but it is what it is.

I've always said that I understand that for some it's too expensive and they have other priorities in life more so if they have kids and choosing games or not even coming at all is understandable and knocking those that choose not to go is wrong.

Understanding why those that used to come don't or don't as often is one of the questions the club need to find out.
If the club have said they've sold more members passes this season find out why the casuals aren't turning up in as many numbers as last year.
or if a fair proportion of that number are general memberships then ask why they aren't coming to games early in the season. could explain why the crowds are not bigger and that people are maybe waiting for warmer months but who knows.
I think the damage was already done before last season and people have found other things to do with their money and that Friday night home games aren't for them or their kids.
