I'd be looking at getting him signed up, a risk with his history, but if we don't we will lose him as NRL and SL teams will be sniffing about.

Played well for Rovers, but not this consistentantly, playing for a winning, more professional side with better influences will hopefully keep him on track.

Just going to enjoy it while it lasts. Could possibly get another NRL gig based on current form, or go off the rails, maybe other clubs will be interested with more cap to spare - let's not forget he's here on a low wage this season. He's the most exciting player with ball in hand I've seen at Hull since Willie Manu in the respect that he can create something from nothing. As a creative half he's been fantastic so far, but on the basis of four games only; Radford and Tony have good form on squad development so reckon they'll do what's best for us.

Quote: Jake the Peg "We all know at some point he'll either go off the rails or get injured (or both) but what a sensational player he is. He's was involved in so much of what we did last night and really gives the team something which we've not had for a long time. I'm just going to enjoy watching him play whilst the good times last'"

Nothing like setting a player up to fail.....

I appreciate his track record is hardly clean, but the reality is, I have no real idea (or interest) on his past in Australia. His time at rovers was, first season fantastic, second season not so. But when you drill down into the issues at rovers last year (they didnt recruit at the beginning of 2016 = Kelly knew he would be playing behind a beaten pack and that his club lacked ambition etc, oh, then there is the little matter of having Hudgell as your boss, something I can imagine is not the most pleasant of things.....), perhaps Albert was wanting to taste a bit of success with a club going in the right direction???

Agreed, he is fantastic to watch, and its great to see what a proper stand off can bring to the team...

A bit harsh on Rovers ambition there Dave, Hudgell was crystal clear the aim was to return to Wembley after a 50-0 battering and lift the trophy. Sadly this ambition was ecllipsed by the reality of an early exist to Oldham, derby whitewash and relegation. For a player of Kelly's undoubted ability this must have been hugely sapping to be part of. The difficulty with all this, and why Kelly's signing was and still is seen as a risk worth taking, is which other stand offs in the comp would you rather have and are/would be available? I like many others last year would have been happy to see a 35 year old Brough here to partner Sneyd, which highlights the lack of quality on the market, so every effort should be made to make this project a success and if so extend it.

He's one of the most naturally gifted players I've seen. He's got the lot, skill, awareness, pace and strength. The pass to Fonua last night was sublime. When we attack I'm looking where he is hoping he gets the ball. He really is an exciting machine

The ball is in his court. If continues to produce this kind of form he will get a lucrative contract. He's playing for a team that is challenging for trophies, adored by the fans and could become a legend. He's an intelligent bloke no longer a kid and should realise that if he steps out of line again his earning power will be diminished. (clubs will always take a chance with him)

The one thing in our favour is he is surrounded by a group of consummate professional players and staff that won't tolerate anything that will disrupt the culture of the club that has been built over the last couple of years.

Unfortunately like Jake I believe it will all end in tears like it's done for every club he's played for. Lets just make the most of him while it lasts.

It's not the 6 tries in 4 or the exciting rugby that is most pleasing, we knew what he was capable of before he came. The best thing for me is the enthusiasm and effort he has put into everything, especially the dirty work that creative players shouldn't have much business in. Kick chases, cover tackles, even carrying the ball out of defence on occasion.

Maybe he will go off the rails, but he's never really been at a top club before. Maybe if we can keep matching his ambition and keep supplying the quality players for him to work with he will be happy. Everyone wants to win things, especially guys with his talent.

I'm happy for the bloke, and for us. His celebration in the southeast corner was great to see.

You could see Widnes targeting him. He dealt with it well but I hope we have a plan for dealing with that as every team is going to do it.

He seems to be playing for his career, be it SL or NRL, some people seem to want him to fail, and not all KR fans

If we do keep him we'll have to free up a big chunk of cap. Ellis' salary Maybe? We have some fringe players ooc but only really mini and Ellis likely to be on big salaries and mini already said he has an option for next year

Depends if he gets offers elsewhere I guess, he may feel the FC environment suits him, an early offer (with inbuilt conditions) could work for everyone ?
