| Poor quality tonight. To think we've lost to both of these.

| Let's hope cas play like that when they play us. Thought the ref lost a bit of control at times and they really shouldn't give someone their first SL game to ref and put it on TV. Good result for us though

When did he lose control?
Personally thought that was one of the best displays I've seen by a ref this season.

| Agree. Thought Jack Smith thoroughly justified the RFL's decision to put him centre stage tonight. Had a great game. Compare to Thaler's Gansonesque self-indulgence recently...

Inconsistent at the PB, completely failed to police the 10m, even not getting back himself on a couple of occassions and tried too hard to let the game flow IMO meaning he let a couple of clear knock ons go. He also missed a stack of forward passes but probably more the linesmen than him to be fair. Game seemed too quick for hm at times I thought

I would say the game was quick because he controlled the ptb pretty well. Penalised clear attempts at holding down and let others go. Let's be honest it can be difficult to judge the ptb between holding down and an attacker trying to win a penalty. Thought he got more right than most more established officials. 10m is also difficult to judge because if the attacking player moves forward to play the ball they allow the defence to stay where they are thus becoming 8 or 9 meters back. Again the game was so fast it was difficult to judge at times.

Ah right OK! Good on him. Didn't watch the game so no idea how he got on this week. Sure he'll pick up the pace of the game as he gets more experience.

Completly agree. I can't recall thinking that either team were consistantly offside. I thought he did a good job.

| To be fair to him it's hard to police the offside in the middle of the Cas pitch as a couple of the 10m lines are only 4m apart.
