In 1956 Warrington finished top and in 1958 Oldham finished top at the conclusion of the regular season. In 1983 we did finish top of the league.

| Yea, as great as this feeling is, its hard not to forget all the years of getting your hopes up, only for us to be let down. A win at Catalan would make sitting back and watching last years top 3 get battered by The Aussies oh so mich sweetet.
Question, which round do we enter The Challenge Cup this year?

Round Six (last sixteen) which takes place 7th-8th May.
The bottom four from Super League last season enter the round before (16th-17th April).

| That'll be why the bottom four play the same weekend as the world club challenge?
Wondered why they were.

At least they've learnt from it, I guess. I can understand their reasons for wanting all of rugby leagues focus on the World club series over that weekend, but the four teams who played 3 games in a week last year will probably feel different!

they could've easily scheduled two games to start at 3pm on the sunday
cant blame Pearson as he kept asking the RFL but they refused to budge, unless FC are involved in the WCS im not interested in two friendlies, apart from the leeds v nth queensland match

I completely agree about the games been on the same day. I can just see their reasons for not wanting it, also.

That's a shame.
I went to the Wigan & Saints games last year & despite the Saints result, enjoyed both (I couldn't make the Warrington game).
Any opportunity to see some of the best players in the world, in their prime, and within a couple hours drive and I'm sold. The two 'friendly's' could feature the likes of: Boyd, Thaiday, Parker, Milford, Hunt, Gillett, Hargreaves, Jennings, Cordner, Tupou, Moa etc. No game vs the Aussies is a friendly IMO

You'll be struggling to see jennings. He's at Parra now.
Also you missed 1 obvious name on potential stars we could be blessed to see....

I had no idea on Jennings, when did that one happen?! Despite that, there's still enough on show to get me to jump in the car and head across the hills.
