Generally an overseas player would cost more than the equivalent Brit but even so, can't see the point a player coming half way around the world not to play

| I love him. It's rare to see an overseas player who shows such passion for the club. Loved seeing him patting the badge in the win against Rovers. He knows how passionate the fans are about the game over here and he is a player who feeds off that. He constantly waves to the fans to make some noise and he is always jumping around in the huddles after a try or forced error.
He seems pretty down to earth and can't forsee any off field issues with him. He has exactly the right attitude to be a success at our club.

| Hopefully he gets chance next season to prove his worth because Pryce will be starting at 6 no doubt and Radford has massive raps on Shaul.
Really don't like the idea of him playing hooker which has been mentioned because his main strength is how much he attacks the line when at 6.

| Id let him go un less he has an amazing season. He may be passionate but hes not that good a player and keeping him may harm the development of Abdull or HTW and weve got Naughton as back up to Shaul so really don't see the point in having him. Even if Pryce gets injured id put Abdull in above him as hes the future where as Rankins future will definitely be back in Oz if someone came in for him

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

He's not that good.....you talk some crap.He attacks the line, has a great cut out pass, supports well and has pace...that what your stand off needs.Abdull is good but he is a 13 and as for HTW......Sneyd will be keeping him out.I still see Rankin as a centre.

| I'd keep him too. I love the way he plays. Has pace, a good step and the sort of enthusiasm the team needs.
If he does go back home I'd love it to be as a fans favourite and deserving a top NRL contract

So you think he has everything for a 6, but you see him as a centre?

have a feeling that Rankin will play more games at 6 than Pryce and will be successful using his running game feeding off Mini and Sneyd.
Abdull is the future replacement for Westerman

| On the rare occasion that the forwards rolled their sleeves up and gave him a platform I thought he looked the part. As long as there is an organising type alongside him (be that Sneyd, HTW or whoever) then I think he will go well.
I can see the temptation in playing him at hooker. With his speed off the mark I can see him making alot of breaks from DH as long as the forwards do their job, and we already know he can pass a ball.

Indeed. I think that because he's been around for so long people forget that Westerman still has his best days ahead of him.
He's as much the future of the club as any of the other youngsters mentioned here.

Westerman has always had the ability, and whilst I don't think he's ever been as bad as some on here claimed in his first two years, these last two years he's been superb, especially in 2014. No doubt this is down to the influence of Gareth Ellis for me, no surprise Watts has matured either. Yet more evidence of the intangible benefit of signing a player of Ellis' stature.

How do you know he would be a better option than Rankin at full back? Your opinion of course..I'd keep Rankin for sure, love the guys passion!

| Rankin is exactly the type of player we have been looking for for ages. A half who is prepared to take on the line, got pace and doesn't mind getting smashed in a tackle once in a while. I have a feeling that that signing of Pryce was to mentor Rankin as much as it was to utilise his experience on the field of play.
I don't really understand the blind faith some show in the untried and very much unproven youngsters at the club. Far too much sentiment in wanting locally produced players. With the lack of halves we have had over the last few years if these youngsters were the real deal they surely would have had opportunities to shine in the first team.
I like what we have seen in the first team of Abdul, but as has been pointed out, he is more of an old style 13 than a half.
Rankin has produced not just solid performances but something extra. He is not th finished article by any means, but he will benefit greatly from Pryce.
