Totally agree....will go down as a modern day legend and 1 of the the best 2nd rowers i have seen.

I remember when we were rumoured to be in for him on a 1 year deal 3/4 years ago and everyone slated the idea (I think he was 34/35 at the time). Since then he's gone on to play to 39 and to a very good level as well. He's one of a kind.

Would be a great gesture. He is revered by us whenever he returns. Had the privilege of watching him for two years at Odsal. Usually however his rugby brain was light years in advance of his team mates and we weren't good enough to get the benefit. Legend.

I'd prefer to see any gesture made after the game to be honest especially since it wont be known whether it's his last game or not until then.

these sort of things are usually done before the game when the team comes out - i agree it would be a great gesture - i'm going to email the club, reckon a few on here should do so as well. he'll get a good reception from the fans

Menzies is a rugby league legend (and for once that word is not misused). Twenty years at the top of the sport.

I think it would be a nice touch by Hull to honour him in what is (hopefully) his final game.

I think the fixture has too much importance for us to be lining up before it applauding an opposition player. I could understand it if Wire did it in France last week at his last home league game (did they I don't know?) but to be honest I don't really see the relevance of us doing it in Hull at the start of a game that may not be his last. Great player whose contribution to the game has been massive but not for Hull. Sorry - not in keeping with everyone else it seems but that's what I think. After the game - no problem.
