| The lying, useless 2@s said they had had no reported problems and it must be the router.

That is the standard line you always get from Karoo. You need to tell them when they say that, that is must be a problem with all 3 of your routers (you have spares). this will then get them to progress past the first page of the manual they work from.

| The sooner BT or another broadband alternative comes in the better. It's impossible to watch sky player on your computer because its too slow and lags due to poor speeds and connectivity. The package I'm on says I can get speeds up to 25mbs but I checked on the speed map and entered my post code it says the fastest it will go is 5mbs. The worst thing is that a couple of streets away gets 15mbs because basically the lines are messed up near me. I even entered the post code for kingston communications and where the exchange server is and its says the average speed connection is 16mbs. Why the hell advertise for 25mbs! Karoo is a JOKE!!

| it's been like this for weeks - it's been cutting out where I work which is pretty annoying when a lot of my work is done on line . I too just upgraded my home package to 25mb but is in faster than before .....

An alternative'"
It seems good but I wouldn't trust down to the fact it isn't that well known and I don't know anyone that uses it so I cannot get info on how it is. The alternatives I meant was virgin, sky and BT.

I know a few people who've got it and they very impressed with it. On their official Facebook page there is plenty of positive feedback and as yet nothing negative at all.
I'm seriously considering changing

Let me know how it goes. I'm moving back to Hull in summer, and can't stand Karoo! One of the benefits of living in West Yorkshire: you pay for Sky and you can get the internet for next to nothing!
Walking back from the rugby on Friday down Chanterlands Ave, they had a big billboard advertising Sky Broadband. It wasn't on a major route for out-of-towners, and you can't get it in Hull, so can I ask what the hell was the point of advertising it?!

| I don't have any problem with it,i've used it at work and home and on speedtest i can get 11mb at both,no problems 24/7. The only time i had a problem was at home and that was down to a cheap phone line extension and old modem, the moment i switched it to adsl with a quality extension lead it's flown along without a hitch. This is in Hedon.

That's odd. I never saw this thread last night but at 11pm I was downloading at 1.7Mb per second from Astraweb. I'm about a mile from telephone house.

| We have 3 laptops, an XBox Live, 3 iPod Touches and 3 phones running on our broadband at the height of our home use and apart from it dropping every now and then rarely have any problems. We're on Dorchester Road, Bransholme.

| If anyone has an iPhone, Apple are releasing an update this week which allows iPhones to release a WiFi signal for up to 5 devices through the phones 3G. And if you're lucky enough to be on 3 mobile, they give an 'all-you-can-eat data' plan which is literally unlimited, unlike other networks which have a fair usage limit.
Happy Days!
