Seems fishy to me why would you clean it up?? to me if it was dirty it would have a more authentic look about it,i smell a fake!!

maybe its 1 of say 10 that was made for matchday? and probably was never intended to be used for the game?

Normally, Steeden limited editions, are done in batches of 50... There may have been less with the RFL's deal with them. I'm guessing at it being cleaned up, as it going a bit yellow-ish, as they often do when on display..?
