I'd be intrested , don't know what we could achieve (don't think club would talk to us) but well worth a try to get the supporters view across.

Can someone (with a bit more experience than me ) just give a brief overview of what the organisation would be about and what sort of commitment people would be required to give in order to be involved?

You need a constitution, writtten rules and a regular say monthly meeting at first for the committee, more as and when. There are people involved with this site who could offer the new ISA a helping hand with advice.


At least one AGM, I would say you would need a few more during the year as well to keep fans informed. Some sort of xmas bash to bring into it the social side, where RU is good is it has a massive social side lacking in RL.

A steering commitee is needed to sort most of this out and put it to an open meeting of all those interested.

Raising interest in the whole effort is not going to be easy, but not impossible given the local media.

A lot of the background paperwork already exists although it may need tweaking slightly, accounts set up etc, getting the basics running again shouldnt be to hard. Creating and sustaining membership I suspect, from past experience, will be.

I'd suggest getting the meeting set and hammering out what people want then, and take things from there.

That sounds like a plan Is it worth contacting the club first to see if they would recognise a NEW independant fans group? Or is it a case of building a membership in order to put pressure on the club to recognise us?
