I guess, and i can see why agar jumped at the chance,
it just feels like hes a loaded die,
have to admit i am a bit naffed off that we wont get anything from this deal,
but im also glad hes out of the club,

Whilst this is a potentially good signing (if he behaves), I don't subscribe to the view that the club has worked some sort of minor miracle in bringing him here. Wigan, Wire and Saints wouldn't have wanted him anyway, and most other clubs in SL won't have had space on the salary cap. All this talk of 'massive' offers from the NRL doesn't ring true either, with their season well under way.
It was probably a race between us, Wakey and Catalans, and Longy being here probably swung it (hopefully for the right reasons).

Long's isn't likely to be here next season is he?
I don't suppose the fact that Wakey are likely to lose their franchise did any harm either.
All things considered its a good signing. We've been crying out for a top class centre for years and now we've got one.
Can't wait to see him in action on Good Friday.  |

One other thing is that i really dislike Gleeson as much as i dont like Cockaine, The Tomkins and Bailey. |

I think it's too early to say that it's a good signing. It certainly has the potential to be - he's a very good player and a specialist centre (though not the God-like figure Expro would have us believe). What remains to be seen is whether he will apply himself and produce his best rugby, or whether he will be plagued by the inconsistent form and off-field problems that have punctuated his career thus far. Time will tell.

Lets not kid ourselves, he has the potential to be a good addition, but we haven't pulled off some massive recruitment coup.
In fact, if you look at our recruitment this season, we only have Westerman who we chose, Phelps was a reaction to sacking Tansey and Obst was only available because Wakey went into administration.
