| Quote: Armavinit "I’ve said it on here before, without Connor in the side, I can’t see where the creativity will come from and that was evidenced last Sunday at Wakey after his injury. Gale seems incapable of stepping up and his 2 drop goal attempts were shameful. His leadership skills aren’t what they were plus he’s lost his head to brain farts when trying too hard. Reynolds is a passenger and the perennial aging Aussie on his last “holiday”. Wynne, Carlos or Griffin at fullback or centre, haven’t got the wherewithal to create. Unfortunately Swift and Macintosh can both finish but won’t get the opportunities without Connor. Mitch is a solid backup centre or wing but again little flair or creativity. Our forwards are good and can create a platform but again without Connor, who’s going to take advantage of it. The club obviously realised that we need to change the reliance on Jake but the changes can’t take place until next season. I can only see a slide out of the top 6, Leeds will gather momentum under Smith, Wire will surely wake up? Rovers will do everything to pile the pressure on us, don’t we play them twice more. Radford’s Cas would love to get one over us, and the Trueman rumour will add spice. Unfortunately this is a very pessimistic post from me, I’ve been branded a “happy clapper” I’m usually upbeat but I can only see our usual end of season slide down the table. God, I really want to eat humble pie after this post. I’ll get my coat.'"
Unfortunately I fear you could be right.

| All I want to see now from Hull is to grind out wins, Wire and Catalans at home type of wins. Play to our strengths down the middle, complete high and defend well. All of that I'm confident we can do, and that alone will keep us in games, we will just need to take the few chances which we will create.
Having said this, considering the experience and salary cap placed into our halves, how bad of a mentality is that for us to have forced upon us? its not as if we have two young halves been thrown into the deep end, these are two seasoned players with International/State of Origin appearances under their belts. The squad is desperate for a new spine and it is somewhat reassuring that it isn't just the fans which see it going into next season.

| Not sure we will win Sat. Massive ask just look at the odds. But I believe we will finish in top 6.

| Our pack will always give us a chance. Will miss Connor for sure. But we have enough to grab top 6.

Catalan will score 50 if they attack them two

Wasnt Connor going off at Wakefield that was the problem it was that we didnt see much ball and when we did have it we made errors.
Reynolds effort in defence cost us one try and Griffins lack of effort to try and stop their last try was typical of his couldnt care less attitude since losing his centre spot.
Going forward i agree without Connor we will lose his attacking link but if Shaul steps up then we at least have a player who can back up line breaks which we miss when Connor plays and also Shauls defence is far better.
My concern is we seem to have a coach who is determined to try and play Reynolds into some form which isnt going to happen so he should be dropped.
When we to continue to play the like of Reynolds and Griffin who are both poor and out of form then bring back Johnstone in the squad who is odds on to play then we are in trouble.

| Would rather have had sevens in the 2nd row than Griffin and if we are going with Houghton and Johnstone as hookers then it's going to be so slow at dummy half. This could be painful watching

i agree but it will happen. If we are not going to play Lovodua at 6 then he needs to be at nine running with the ball in that heat.

I agree we need shaul also to be getting into dummy half and running. 2 big games coming up for BH , Pearson must be delighted with how the home games have gone with the results and fun days etc ,he will want the same positive attitudes from the fans for the Leeds game 2 big losses could dampen it

Good job the home form has picked up given we've lost ten of out the last twelve SL games away from the MKM. That needs adressing with the number of away games coming up.
2019 we won 10/14 away but only 5/14 at home. The most frustrating club in Super League.
