bit of a contrast with toby king who's been a bit of an in the huddersfield press.
re longstaff, i've heard from a couple of sources that powell doesn't think he's big enough, height and weight wise. i imagine he's about the same size as joe cator he's also asked for a contract increase, which compared to the other fringe players (thewlis/wrench) probably isn't warranted at the moment.

Think the Nicholson and potential McGuire deal will have pushed him down the pecking order too

He's way bigger than Cator.
We have quite a few big players. I think having small fast forwards is useful too. Cator surprised us that first season with just how many problems his speed caused. Our teenagers coming up are all big for backrowers so maybe we've got room for a little one.

Speaking of Cator has there been any recent update of how he's progressing. Seems a bit sp on information about our sick list.

Charlie Severs is highly rated and is progressing well. I was surprised how slight he was on Sunday but would expect him to bulk up before next season.

| So Dean Hadley has had his ban reversed on appeal.
Just had a look at the MRP notes and Hadley has 5 charges against him during our match. 4 for a late hit on the kicker and 1 for a late hit on the passer?
Luckily for him they deem the footage inconclusive on a couple of the hits?
The wording on Connor Wynne charge is exactly the same as the one Hadley has had reversed. Should we have appealed?
Glad AP has finally spoken out about the disciplinary process but doubt anything will change despite it being very suspect.

The appeal system seems an absolute lottery. Mata'utia and Hadleys ban got scratched off. Leeds appealed Priors ban which stayed at 2 games...
I think some of it comes down to prior convictions too.
With the Cas game on the horizon its probably better to take our punishment this week without making things worse.
It'll be interesting to see the outcome of the 2nd Newman appeal today.

Agree with you, will be targeting the Cas game. Him, Sao, Evans, Mau and maybe Connor back with give us a strong squad.

| Just watched the game back on TV the commentary and punditry was absolutely horrendous, I couldn't believe the bias from the commentary team, especially Kyle Amor filling his sock everytime Rovers scored, didn't even bother speaking when hull did, so much for impartiality.

I thought that as well. I like Amor as a commentator but he seemed to be leaning towards Rovers. Plus he came out with the "take a bow" which I find irritating.
Jones-Buchanan was hoping that his mate McGuire won it for Rovers and Wilkin well we don't need to go there.

The conundrum for me MB is Wells, what’s his love affair with our neighbour's about.

He keeps referring to them as the most entertaining team in SL. Tommy Cooper was an entertainer. Maybe he's got a point.

| The Sky love in with the Dobbins is hard to fathom (Wilkins apart).
Fall over themselves to dish the praise out. Even keep banging on about the burger and kebab vans they have on the South Stand wasteland.
