How about if one of the Rovers supporter players turned up in a HKR reg????

Sense of proportion eh
Rich Horne was a big KR fan before he signed for us how do you suppose it would go down if he turned up with KR reg plates on his car FFS!

Have you ever considered it may have been her husbands car she needed to use for a few days as hers was in for a repair?

| Having read the mail today(1st time ive bought it in yonks)....We have a damn sight more to look forward too with him at the helm.As long as it doesnt involve that nutjob from the Tiggers, then lets get behind him and get back to where we belong.
THE FUTURES BLACK...THE FUTURES BLACK AND WHITE.

As long as he put in 100% on the pitch it wouldn't bother me at all.
Life's too short.

She should have got rid of hers then because it spent a lot of time in for repairs

| Didnt I hear correctly on Sports talk last night that the Allams knew nothing of this deal by Pearson? Maybe because he would have made a better offer. Thats made me feel a lot happier but Im still a bit concerned about them. Hope Pearson is honest and dosent do the dirty on us and be involved with them somehow.
Although I am really happy about him taking over there is just something that cant stop me thinking that they are something to do with it.

Allams found out 2 days before it was announced in the media

| Whilst having that thought that things could go belly up as that does seem to be a norm for us I do think we need to trust in AP and get right behind him and the team. Time will tell if there are other issues but right now I would just like to say Welcome Adam, lets roam the range together.

If the Allams were behind it why did they not just buy the club? They are hardly the shy and retiring types. There were quite happy to court the media with their loan to Rovers not to mention their purchase of Hull City.
I can understand why some people may be a bit concerned but I honesty believe Pearson is his own man. He and Peter Wilkinson bought Hull City for £350,000 and sold it for £13m. They then invested £3m in Derby. He has the cash without the Allams to buy Hull FC.

| In this struggling economy , cash is King. AP had cash and was looking for a great cheap investment. A fool and his money are easily parted so he can't be a fool . So why but FC ? he has many options that the cash rich have access to for e.g.
Does he buy 2-3 mansions in Swanland ? Industrial unit to let out ?
Gold ? Farm land ? Utility licence ? precious artwork ? Precious metals ?
No , he buys FC outright !
I can 100% assure you he bought it as an investment . Buying investments are for income or capital growth. Maybe even a bit of both but the buyer must see something. Income may not be the driver here as he plans to spend money on top of existing expenses. So I summise he hopes for a better sale price in 2-4 years time ?
Who could he have in mind as a buyer of the Club in the future when he will by definition as a businessman/investor , look to sell at a much higher price than he paid. He will sell when he can see a nice profit and I reckon the Allams would be the people he would hope to sell to in the medium term.

| Quote: Staffs FC "Pointless this season IMO. Maybe in the off season. I get the impression AP needs a good look at things before he acts. I'm sure any DOR appointed would be chosen such that he could easily move into the coaching role at a moment's notice.'"
Mt first thoughts too. But if we crash out of the cup tomorrow and do pants in the playoffs what is the incentive for the renewing passholder?
He won't want to go into the off season on a negative. He's a businessman taking over a company whose customers have expressed dissatisfaction and are showing it in (lack of) numbers all year. Even if he only secures getting to the payoffs and a win therein it's better than a dumping out of both competitions for the fans to buy into next season.
