Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

Quote: Mrs Barista "
We're into youngsters pretty much, sounds like Shaul only wants to play FB.'"
Shock, horror, Connor Wynne, "I’d like to see myself there as a full-time centre to be honest."
But never gets a mention, unlike Shaul, who's been criticised since he was on loan at York, hundreds of years ago.

| Quote: bonaire "I agree
very lucky to be still under contract otherwise he also would have been offered out.
What i cant understand with Taylor is that whilst injured he didnt keep his upper body in shape.
That to me shows lack of interest/professionalism and what does that say to his team mates'"
So, players are about to return from a few weeks break and start 14 weeks pre-season training to get fit the new season.
Scott Taylor suffers a serious foot injury which takes 12 weeks before he can start running for the first time in an anti-gravity machine.
And you expect him to be in tip-top condition.
Please don't remind me of his upper body shape, you've mentioned it plenty of times before.

stop nitpicking ccs
We know Taylor had a foot injury but again you decide to miss the point of the post
Not talking about his fitness but his flabby body. He was like Mr Blobby
If you are unable to run then as a professional athlete you get in the gym to exercise the other parts of the body and i am surprised the conditioning team at the club allowed him to get away with it.

You need to read again or further down the article as it’s the quote directly from BH that doesn’t mention Taylor in the group of names which you’d have expected him to, not the just William Jackson as the reporter. .

I think Hodgson is more referring to the overseas players in the pack. Which is why Taylor doesn't get a mention.
This is from the press release on Hulls site:
Hodgson added, “We have been working hard to add another big middle to our squad and the inclusion of Kane alongside the likes of Chris Satae, Ligi Sao and Manu Ma’u represents a strong contingent of overseas forwards who, alongside the rest of our pack, will help us lead the charge next season.”

| Make no mistake Hodgson like any sane minded person, knows the value of a fully fit Scott Taylor, at his best he is one superb forward, hopefully Tag gets himself back to full fitness and complements a set of forwards which looks awesome on paper, (I know lol)

| Taylor for the first few games last season looked pretty good. Didn't look great physically but he was doing a good job on the pitch still.

Thanks that’s makes more sense as just thought it was very strange if BH had omitted Taylor from the group of forwards when naming the other big names.
Hopefully Taylor can get himself back into good shape as I have to agree with Bonaire when he said Taylor hasn’t looked that fit this past season. As much as he’s a big forward he did seem to be carrying a bit of extra weight. So hopefully a good break and pre season will help him and also have an relatively injury free run.

Its not the weight Chris it was the fat.
Taylor is a big guy who could easily put on a stone in muscle weight but he let his upper body fitness go.
I want to see the Scott Taylor who hit opponents coming out of their own 10 so hard he carried them into the in goal for a drop out under the posts.
Regretfully i dont think we will see that Scott Taylor again

| Quote: Dave K. "He might not have been great the last couple of years in the NRL, but that rarely counts look at Hastings, Satae and Fifita.
He is big strong and has an offload, probably got him on the cheap as Warriors will have paid he off.
Are we better with Evan's or Bowden as our 4th prop.'"
Agree, if he’d of signed for my favourite nrl team, I’d be like, terrible signing he’s garbage! But this is super league, could go well, look at Pryor at leeds, probably one of the top performing props last couple of seasons, and he was, the very very average of the nrl

| Agree entirely, we have to stop comparing SL, as a game, to the NRL- it is literally years behind and any signing SL's finest. Seriously Latrell Mitchell, Turbo Tom, DCE, J Manu J Tedesco, Cleary,Katoni Staggs, A Reynolds, C Walker, Ryan Paps, The Parramatta beast Sevo, maybe T Briscoe (not the one we flogged to Leeds) the list is a very long one of who would light up SL, in my opinion, buddy.
