You are and always have.
Three seasons ago (when Rovers were a super league side) FC lost one Sunday and a KR fan texted in to RH:- "Great game, great commentary, great result!" Gollum read it out.
Next week Rovers lose so I texted in the same message, Gollum reads out: "Great game, great commentary!"

| Fllippin eck, is this thread real or did my mushroom omelette have the magic variety in, if it's the former and pettiness is the order of the day then the lesser teams lesser (and not first team) players have just beaten the bigger teams ( not first team players ) by a decent margin ( % trevloveshimsen can work out) apologies to the majority hull fans who read this who probably also think the thread is nonsensical twas the mushrooms, this thread is not real is it ?

Indeed. Could you post the number of SL appearances for each side? FC's oldest player was 22 (edit 24?) so our total number is quite small. Is yours in 4 figures?

Chris Heil will be older than 22 by now, surely? Unless it is a different Chris Heil, but it's not that common a surname.

24, and a Doncaster player as far as I'm aware. In the team against the French juniors we played a few Donny lads too. It helps Donny out but it's questionable what value it offers us. Who are you dual registered with? Did you play any of their lads?

I don't really get playing Donny players either, maybe to make the numbers up, but you would think that we have players from the COHA, that could take a bench spot.

We've had arrangements with Gateshead (now Newcastle, of course) in the past but I doubt it survived relegation. I'm not clear it's even formally an option in that direction for a Championship club. Jubb and Moran are at York on loan, and Moran played tonight.
If it is helping Hull 23s fulfill fixtures I'd say there's a marginal benefit to Doncaster, but a bigger one to Hull. If everybody relies heavily on their academy teams, then your under-23 comp isn't offering much different, and reserve reserves is clearly not a sensible use of resource.

I watched it on HKRTV last night and it looked a good run out for both teams, that I'm sure both coaches will have got a lot out of. was surprised a bit you never gave any of the older fringe players (the likes of Thompson) a run out. The principle of this game is a very good idea, sort an A-team match without the commitment to it being a formal scheduled competition

| I have to praise Richard Stead in his role as a radio commentator.
He describes what is happening, and just as importantly [iwhere[/i. He gives a good overview of the general strategy of the games progression, and he also asks concise questions in a way for the summariser to expand on and give their opinions.
I feel there was a massive difference between how he commentates and how Gwilym does it.
For people who rely on the radio commentary to follow the team small things make a big difference. There's nothing more frustrating than 'banter' interrupted by 'It's a try!'
