He'd be fine if that is what he did week-in, week-out. He doesn't though. He continually comes up with costly errors in both attack and defence, whether it's forcing a stupid offload or giving away a needless penalty. Plus he tendency to fight for every extra yard, at the expense of a quick play, is extremely annoying and detrimental to the team. When you than factor in his lack of pace and lack of tackle-busting ability, he doesn't look like the sort of player a team aiming for silverware should have.

He's been good in the past, often very good, but he's finished now, based on the evidence of the last couple of years.

The problem is not with Radford as a player, its Hulls squad as an entity. We have too many workhorses (of which Radford is an exceptional example of).

Apart from the pace and tackle-busting ability. And I don't rate Hock either. He can be very effective, but his utter stupidity means he's far too inconsistent.

I think he would. a while back on the leeds fans they were saying they would have him. but he does make his mistakes. especially the warrington game

Just like last season when we gave Dowes a new deal before the season started, we give another one of the "deadwood" players a new deal.. Hes a decent tackler but thats about it

A bloke I know has met him on a few occasions and genuinely reckons he's bordering on Neanderthal status.

The first bit highlighted could be said for most of the team.

Noitice I didn't highlight the word "continually" as it is not needed in any description of Radfords shortcomings as a player, regardless of peoples opinions of him. He does not "continually " knock on or "continually" miss tackles or "continually" attempt stupid off loads.

The second bit highlighted had me peeing myself with laughter. Are you really slagging of a player because of his determination to make as many yards as possible?
