I don't think he is finished but he does need a big season and needs to stay injury free. He showed before he got injured he still has the talent.

Seriously, He's a fantastic player and as far as I know is contracted for next season and this time we won't be ripped off by a SL club so if you do want him then it won't be cheap.

He's got great vision for a young player and could probably teach the old dog (Long) new tricks.

I'd like to see us bring two in, a young aussie 7 and a Briggs as a 6.

He looked really good early season on hullfctv but the coverage stopped 5 or 6 games in.

Saying that he is from Hull so obviously hes a quality player even though he hasn't done a thing for 2-3 years.



He WAS a brilliant player at his peak but hes done and the quicker RA has the bottle and do something about it the better.

which clearly shows you have viewed little live footie this year , because earlier in the season before he was injured he looked nearly back to his old form and his old show and go was working a treat .. at least view the odd match if your going to trash peoples careers on this forum..

he is a quality player with much still to offer and no where near past his best!! but if you view his form based on the match you watch last week on tv he may have appeared rusty which he was and out of position also

so now RH is the off season scapegoat

Richard Horne has shown glimpses of getting back to somewhere near his best before he got injured and he always gives his all and comes back for more and is a credit to fc and the city. BUT he is too injury prone now and we cannot afford having someone on decent money sitting out chunks of the season also I still think his best position is Fullback.

If your happy with Horne as our 6 next year or even in the 17 then be prepared for another average season. But hey hes from Hull so who cares

got nothing to do with where he is from or what he is paid but is everything to do with the fact he is a model professional footie player who has talent to burn but has been through the mill recently and is now coming out the other side .. he will prove you all wrong!!! if he and SL can stay fit they will guide us around the park no worries

He isnt a full back, doesnt want to play full back and will never for any length of time play full back so that puts that to bed, BUT if required like last week he will step in as cover but if whiting had been on the park he would have dropped back wouldnt he!

His show and go may be old hat to us that watch it week in week out but he can still dance through the gaps when he has the ball and fit..and it still throws out guys who have known how he plays for years so yes it is and he is a player i would deffo want on board next term

RH has tons left to give to Fc next year thats for sure alongside SL but i will say that i would expect him to leave at the end of his current contract that much is certain IMO

I dont think they will ever have a settled partnership and I dont think Richard Horne is the guy to take us to the next level.

I would like to have two playmakers in the team as then if one gets injured the other can lead us round the park. Richard Horne CANNOT and never will be able to lead and organise us.

But that's an enormous if, this season they only managed to play together 5 times I believe. Both Horne and Long have talent but it they aren't the players they once where, even when fit. The club needs to bring in a replacement half back who can be considered as a starting player (not easy to find I know). Unless the club do that then a repeat of this season is surely on the cards where we will have to play with players who are not capable of doing the job effectively.

Totally Disagree if fc want him he will resign. Horne is very loyal and loves Hull Fc and wants to end his career here. Only way he will leave is if he is pushed.

Do you think hes up there with the likes of Tomkins, McGuire, Pryce and Briers ? He was in the same bracket as them but not anymore. People have been saying he'll prove the doubters wrong for the past few years now, im still waiting.

I'm not from Hull and don't give a toss where players come from. I still think you're being harsh, especially as he missed one of the 2-3 years you mention through injury.



I have my doubts as to whether RH can get back to any kind of form, but suggesting that Agar lacks the 'bottle' to do something, or that he's only still here because he's from Hull, is just plain daft. Horne is under contract and it would cost us a substantial amount to release him from it.



I personally doubt that he'll get an extension unless he has a special season next year, and that's fair enough. It's also clear that Agar wants to bring in some cover in case it all goes pear-shaped again. I'm not sure what else you expect him to do?

Regardless of whether he is still good enough or coming to the end of his career, we still need a half back replacement for both his and Long's position.
