I still stand by what i said going on pre season games he shouldnt have started. But he took his chance tonight with some great runs, ive always said my main concern with him is his defence. We'll wait and see throughout the season as im not getting carried away.

He was good against Sheffield particularly in defence hence why he was selected for the Saints game no doubt.

I think the way the team played tonight justified Agars 17. Everyone played a part in a great TEAM performance.

Lauaki was not picked over Moa, Dowes and Yak were.

Like I said Scott, Hame will go well for us. He is one of the best forwards around for coming on and giving impact. Yes he might miss a few tackles here and there but he showed last night what he can do with ball in hand.

However it's only one game, but a great start.

Was a great start, I have not seen many players tackle and roll Graham like that, Hame has fantastic strength.

You get the feeling that whoever he picked, it would have been a good team performance. What a promising start to the season.

I know you're selectively picking out our best forward of the night to big up your mate Agar, but as others have said, Cusack was picked over Moa if anyone. And IMO, he still offered little more than a fairly quick PTB 3 yards from the last one. The result was great, but personally I'm hoping it won't be used as an excuse to rest on our laurels and automatically name an unchanged side, improvements can and still must be made.

Lauaki was picked over Washbrook if anyone.
