So was I about Aspinwall, McGoldrick and Watts! So far Gentles Judgement has been spot on and while it is you have to trust him. I also agree that however ambitious we are we should never be held to ransom, Its like the days when Waudby was here and some teams saw our owners ambition as a license to milk us. John Woods at Leigh was a classic example back then. As for the Boy well I don't know what people want, they crow on and on about transparency and then when they get it and we find out some of the twists and turns that go on we have not known about in the past they complain. Millward on the other hand seems to be irrational to the enth degree here, a deal was agreed, Chase wants to come (the bit that probabaly galls Millward) and its just the Visa situation thats a difficulty. If we get him we get him if we don't we tried. For a man who is supposed to be one of the top Coaches in the game to claim that the Australian salary cap has gone down instead of up in recent times, says it all for his credibility for me. As for Amor he's agreed terms so he wants to come Wakey again just see Pearson as a cash cow and as fans we can't see him taken for a ride and think its OK, we have to trust his judgement its his money!

He is a good young English prop.
Why don't you just see how our recruitment pans out first and how Amor fits into the jigsaw before making knee jerk reactions.
If the signing comes off why not give him a chance first eh.

I couldn't agree more. What I would have said if I could have been bothered to type more.
Some people's expectations and reasonings are just warped to say the least.

Wow, I bet Wigan and Warrington are pooping themselves at the thought of that front row. We need a big rough tough of a prop.

Are we trying to sign one player from every club below us?

Amor Wakie
Taylor KR
Chase Cas
Holdsworth Salford
Crookes Bulls

Can't wait till they are all announced to put this to bed.

Coach merry go round started already.

Trent Robinson joined Sydney Roosters, Joey Johns stated on radio that Sheens will join Warriors,
IF Sheens did leave, wonder if Wests would move for PG?

Don't have a problem with Amor signing. Gentle seems to able to turn so called "average" players into a decent team, so I have every confidence he can do this with Amor. He's building "his" team and I'd rather have a team of journeymen who PG can motivate and who want to play for us, than a team of dysfunctional superstars that can only get to mid table because their egos get in the way

Amor is a good player, people have to get it into their head that after signing players like Ellis, Holdsworth and hopefully Chase etc the salary cap will be tight for some positions.

The article tells lies, he's got two years left on his Wakefield deal as they signed him from us at the beginning of this season (2012), last season was a season long loan (2011). Also, they are saying the deadline passed, but it got extended until the end of the season. Also, he decides where he is playing for next season, between Leeds and Wakefield, can't see them putting this much effort in to keep him only to sell him off to you.

We're losing O'Meley, Manu, Moa and then there's McKinnon's wage. Even Crookes for Sharp and Arundel for Turner would probably see us save on the cap, I'd be disappointed if Ellis, Chase & Holdsworth (who won't be on loads) were our only high profile signing.

+1

Good quote from Brendan Rodgers today.

Then why would they let the player talk to Hull where he's agreed personal terms.

Only way I can see it is you have offered a fee that is alot. I cant see them letting a player go they have worked so hard for and has two years left on his deal, for a small fee. That would assume that he chosen to stay at Wakefield and not return to Leeds, then they sell him off to you.

It would seem the transfer fee is the sticking point. Pearson will pay fees but won't be held to ransom.(His own words.) So I can't see it being a massive offer.
