I don't know why we'd bother with Lovegrove tbh, he's a far better 13 than prop.

Is Pitts not very good? He has looked pretty promising in the (admittedly not many) Hull games I've seen on televison. Maybe more of a modern 13 than a prop? I'd say that is true also not only of Lovegrove but maybe also of Watts. Mind, Gentle is keen on mobility by all accounts.
Lopini Paea would definitely make things look rosier for you.

You still might. If Tickle goes, I'd imagine you'd maybe go with Westerman, Ellis, Watts/Pitts in the backrow with Whiting as cover. If Moa goes there's still room for another out and out prop.

If you are in for Lovegrove or someone from Bradford, it makes less sense admittedly.

Pitts plays well when he starts games IMO. He just seems to be 1 of those players who struggles to get up to speed when he comes off the bench and he doesn't really offer the impact you would like from a forward coming off the bench.

If Tickle does leave next season I would personally move Westerman to left second rower with Ellis on the right and Pitts playing in the middle.
