Talented player but if we could cash in on Connor i would.
I actually agree with this the more I think about it.
Would be interested to know how much Canberra were offering before they pulled the plug.
Would be more than happy with
1 Walker
6 Hoy
7 Trueman

Sutcliffe is the only player i have said we should be looking at better.
Hoy i have not seen enough of and neither has anyone else on here so difficult to comment but he has pace and that counts for a lot now in todays game.
Trueman is a good player and was playing into some form at Cas before his injury.Just hope it doesnt come back to bite us.
Do we really need another utilty player especially when it seems he his destined for a centre spot.
He is certainly not better than Connor or Tuimavave at centre and from what i have seen of him in live games no better than Mitch.
Recruitment of Hodgson is too hotchpotch for me and leans too much to utility players

Is what I'd do.
On a slight tangent, keeping Walker for if/when those NRL clubs come sniffing around Connor again would help. It would ease some pressure if he does move.
Plus we could go Hoy and Connor in the halves if Trueman needs more recovery time'"
Worry for me is that we don’t keep Walker and then an NRL club entice Connor just before next season.
We start the season without Walker, Connor or Trueman and just have Hoy in the pivots.
For this reason I would keep Walker

Connor's best position is FB and Hoy's is as well. If Hodgson is going to play Connor there why not sign a special SH/SO instead of Hoy?
If Trueman is not fit until Easter as has been suggested we are going to be short in the halfs for a while.
Dan Tomlinson was speculating that Gale could get another year. Not sure about that at all.

Would also be the correct decision, hasn't shown enough when he's played, couldn't quite suss out what his strengths were, seemed abit to reserved when he played. Also always Injured.
I think Hodgson is trying to squeeze as much quality and use out the salary cap as possible, which will mean not carrying any wages or players.

In terms of centres. Rovers have just signed Tom Opacic. He walks all over Sutcliffe. Added to Rhys Kennedy (another very good signing) If Sutcliffe has been signed on low(ish) wages and is to primarily replace Griffin whilst the big contracts go elsewhere then it's a good signing, but if he has arrived on a good wedge and is one of your main signings then i can't see much improvement to this season looking from the outside.

Opatic is an overseas players, we can't afford to use an overseas on a centre. I've never seen anything other than a solid player in Opacic

I'm not convinced some people watch the NRL, just presume they will be good as they play NRL.
Although as we know often players who don't look good at NRL can do really well at SL and vice versa.
