| Most impressive aspect for me last night was the pack. Appetite and energy great, exemplified by Ellis who was immense IMO.
Props all went well, good to see Watts back and he looked like he was lifting his game to match the intensity of the rest. Headache for Radford when Carvell's back. Back 3 all impressed and Jordan Thompson has really surprised me, punches well above his weight.
A mention for Talanoa too, best game so far.
Got a bit scruffy in the halves in the second half once Horne went off. I like that Radford is sticking to his performance-based selection, but it's tricky in the halves where we need to get some consistency. Not sure on the best option.
A blow losing another winger. I suspect he'll bring Crooks back next week outside Whiting, unless Colbon is pulling up trees in training.

“We will not accept a top eight finish as a barometer of supposed success at any point in the future whilst I am the owner of this club.
Thats why you got the Bullet Agar...Adam Pearson wants winners...not useless gits like you.

Thought Horne was poor last night. Why put Crooks out of position when Colbon is a winger...we should go like for like.

Whilst I agree, moving whiting and heremia certainly worked last night, Crooks has played on the wing for us I'm sure. I think he would do a good job on the wing, he is quick and good in the air and his defense wouldn't be as exposed.
It's a good position to be in, I said at the start of the year our squad was strong and with adding Carvell it seems that way.

Whiting isn't a centre and heremia isn't a half.
Crooks is a much better player than Colborn, even on the wing.
Guess we will to wait and see what LR does, have to trust him with the way we have started the season.

Whiting has played a damn sight more in the centres than Crooks on wing, can't see Crooks coming back in for a while tbh.

| As good as Whiting is he got done for pace 3 or 4 times by the opposition.
Would prefer to see someone quicker at centre.

Crooks played quite a few on the wing in his breakthrough season year before last didn't he?
Crooks at least has pace. Our first choice back line is pacey but with colbon whiting as a combo it's notat all.
Not sure i like all this players out of position though. Okay against Bradford. Maybe not so against better teams. Whiting kicking seems a lot like committing to starting him. But with tuson Ellis and Westy it's not in the forwards!!

Agreed. I don't fully agree with the extent of some of the Heremaia praise, TBH. I thought he was great for half an hour, but then faded with still a few flashes. I was actually expecting Rankin to replace him and not Horne. He had a good game, but not a MOM contender.

Heremaia only looks good at half because our other options are so poor. If we had a decent SH instead of rankin and miller we'd be in the mix for the top 5 the way the forwards are playin

I certainly don't think it is wise to play Heremia at halfback long term, I feel that Radford knew this was the right game to play him there and against the right team, not sure it would work against better teams.
The problem is Houghton and Heremia are too good to only play 40 minutes each. Could play either a LF for a bit, but then you have Joe Westerman and currently you want him on the pitch as long as possible.

Agree with this, too. Whiting did a decent job, but not one of his better games (not his fault for the positional change, though). I'd still sooner see him in the back row, personally, and give Arundel a go with Crooks outside him. Worth a try at least once.

I agree about Heremaia, disagree about Miller. I'm curious as to how it might have gone with Miller on the bench & replacing Heremaia, rather than Rankin for Horne.

I agree.
I think that's the best option, TBH. Westerman is doing too much work to play 80 minutes most weeks, and last night I think it was part of why he didn't finish the game as strongly. I'd sooner have 60-70 minutes all like he started the game.
