| Quote: A unknown superstar " Briscoe isn't as good in defence is laughable. Charnley would never be able to pull of some of the tackles that Briscoe has done over the years.
'"
In the games I've seen him play Briscoes covering tackles are good, usually when the line has been broken, but his defrensive positional play and ability to cover cross kicks is average at best. No doubt most on here will agree when he's playing for another club.

And there I think we have the crux of your argument.
He currently plays for FC and therefore can't be seen to be one of the best 2 british wingers. No doubt your view would be revised if he was to play in red & white.

Not at all, we had Fox playing for England and I never had any illusions that he was in the top 2 in the country and at the time better than Briscoe, yet you obviously will have thought he was.
I've never said he was a bad player, just that IMO there are a couple better than him.

But he'll never play in those colours, and why would they want him. They already have Brown and Caro, who everybody knows will be England's future wingers.

| IMO Hall is a better winger than Briscoe, but Briscoe is the one who can do something special out of nothing. Putting aside club bias, if I could only have one to play on the wing it would probably be Hall. If the rest of your team is doing their jobs right he's the one you'd get most out of IMO.
I don't think Charnley is as good as either.

I know it doesn't fit your agenda but I'd be surprised if you find quote where anyone has said this?
Brown went well against wire and London (Thought he took the wrap for a couple of Edens mistakes) yet lookes gash against you lot in the friendly.
Caro looked very good preseason and first couple of game but had a mare against Salford.
Will either trouble the England selectors, can't see it, would need a big step up. Do we need and England class winger, not really a priority for us ATM.

To be fair it was said tongue in cheek. Good luck to both of them.

| Charnley is made to look good because of who supplies him the ball. Briscoe is better than Charnely by a country mile.
Hall v Briscoe is a tough one purely as they have different playing styles. Briscoe is better at running with the ball and breaking tackles, Hall is far better in the air.

| Hall is a more natural finisher as well - Briscoe stays too upright for me whereas Hall gets low, diving for the line to make it harder to stop him

| Personally I'm not bothered if he goes, great player, but I wouldn't spend too much money a winger and with lineham and Crookes we will be fine next season.
We need to spend the money on other areas.

I totally agreee with you.
For what we've had out of him lately Crookes and Lineham represent far better value for money.

I understand this is the case. No details of which club, just that Briscoe will be an NRL player next season unless there is a big change in circumstances.

And the best of luck to him. Been a very good player for us, I wish him all the best.

| Quote: barham red "Ryan Hall is better than Briscoe as is Josh Charnley, they both defend better are more solid under the high ball and are a stronger finishers. Having said that he's still a v.good winger and one you'll miss if he leaves.
Lineham has potential but time and again we see English players not reach there potential or take a step back. Will be interesting to see how he develops but if he carries on he'll go well.'"
The fact the NRL clubs are interested in Briscoe shows his class. Charnley is a good finisher and Hall is a very good winger and good at international level. Briscoe is pure class, he's done things I've not seen many players do. And he's 22.
