And how's that been working this season?


Come now - we've already addressed the issue of Hall defending on the wing and our generally crap flank defence on Friday. How about all the other games he's played in this season - particularly in his proper position of centre? If he's as defensively poor as you claim then you should have no problem at all providing evidence of all the tries he's let in

anyone who watches the matches can see the point I make, Hall is not good at defending , to be fair he is awful, a tackle is a tackle wether your on the wing or second row, trying to slap balls out all night is not a style i was tought and thats about his measure!!,
FCTV does not give a full picture im afraid , a match over 80 mins shows a ton of broken play that Hall flaps around
Did you go to Hudds, Crusaders or Wigan matches?? because everyone around me can see it i dont know why you cannot see it ???

I personally don't attend away games but my view of Hall this year (and I have been a critic of his defence and other aspects in previous years) is that his defense and his effort have greatly improved as has his respect for possession. I didn't go to Wigan and he did seem to be out of position on a couple of occasions on the highlights but, overall this season I've been very happy with his progress. He won't put it right overnight but with the work ethic in place at the club at the moment I'm sure he'll continue to improve over the season.

I also think that he is not a winger and he does look very exposed out there.

if hes not a winger he should not be playing on the wing, because when he does his utility value clearly drops.
we have specialist wingers so play them

With no real expiernced wingers why don't we look at giving Lynn or Tuffour a shot? I thought franchising was supposed to encourage this ?

I was at Crusaders. I don't recall any particular problems with Hall's defence over and above anyone else that day. What I [ido[/i remember very clearly was Tom Briscoe failing dismally to deal with two high kicks that led directly to tries right in front of me. Oddly enough your eagle vision appears to have missed this, otherwise I'm sure you would have started a thread on it and mentioned it in numerous other threads when given half a chance.
