There is one young lad called Williams who is playing 7 in the same team as Lynn and Briscoe, so I would imagine he will be working with him at least.

How far off first team (age and ability) are they?

At a guess 2/4 years but you never can tell with 16/17 year olds, some develop quicker than others. Whether or not there will be somebody ready when Long's two years are up I am not sure. I hope Long is kept on the coaching staff though.

I would assume that Long has been given a much wider terms of reference than only bringing on the juniors, important though that is. I would hope he has a big say in attacking structure and organisation for the first grade both on the training field and in games.

im not a huge fan ov longy but i couldnt care less what the guy wears when he`s not playing aslong he pulls on that black n white shirt and plays his nuts off every game every week next season and beyond.

Granted Hudds forwards were superb; however they also coughed up so much ball that Saints had so many shots at them in top field position. Amongst all this were still plenty of occasions they had quick or reasonable play the balls from which a top half back might instigate a killer play.



It doesn't matter if it was Peter Sterling, Joey Johns, Sean Long or the great Michael Dobson, a top half back could have made a huge difference for Saints yesterday.
