FACT. A Saints bus got bricked on the way out of the KC.
FACT. It's now becoming a regular 'treat' for away fans to have their bus bricked outside the ground.
FACT. Hull fans are getting a reputation again - check out the other message boards for proof of this.
I'm a Hull fan. I know the bus wasn't bricked by Hull fans. I know most Hull fans aren't scumbags who brick buses. I know other clubs have an element following them who are scumbags.
But looking at this thread, it's like going back to the old days. Not our problem, not us, blah blah. Well here's a fact. It is our problem, whether it's at our ground or not, and as much as it's up to the police to deal with these dregs of society, it's not the police who get the bad name and it's not the police who lose revenue when people decide not to bother coming to the KC.
So it needs dealing with, loudly, with the club taking a lead. And if you don't agree, then you are a prat.'"
There's little we, as individual fans, can do about it. If any genuine fans know the culprits, I'm sure they'll ring the police. It's up to the club and the police to sort out the problem, and some poor Rovers troll soiling his kecks every time it happens won't change that.

Exactly it's a public order issue, this is a matter for the police.

The club could highlight the fact that it's a problem and request an escort, but other than that there's not a lot they could do.

Assuming it was 2 miles away, and not nearer, the club needs to be in the paper asking questions of the police, and working with them - publicly - to identify the prats, and ways of ensuring the safety of fans.
Ultimately, the club suffers. It is the responsibility of the police, but it's now become the responsibility of the club to make clear to everyone, that these idiots aren't anything to do with us and you are safe to visit.

| where was the coach bricked? It's only about 1.5 miles to Clive Sullivan Way. If coaches are getting bricked at approximately the same place, then the police should patrol that area or escort coaches onto the A63.

Due to the road closures for the Jane Tomlinson run, they had to go via Preston Road

This is the police we're talking about. You can't expect them to come up with anything as innovative as that

There was no trouble, so escorts clearly work.
In all seriousness, this does our city no favours. I am fed up of having to defend the club and the city to other RL fans and yawnion trolls because of a few mindless idiots who clearly have nothing better to do than use away fans' coaches as target practise.

| If this is the case where the coaches are being bricked at more or less the same points, a) it has nothing to do directly with the club, it's obviously some morons who know there's a match on and are waiting for the opportunity
b) Yes the club should (and do) work with the police to ensure supporters are safe as far as the stadium boundaries. After that surely its the Police's jobs as in any other public order offences. Hell, a little while ago, some idiots dropped a slab from a bridge on Clive Sullivan Way onto a car, not match day. Was that Hull Fc's supporters well? I'm sure we all want the best for the away fans, but there's only so much the club can do here.

You're a bell end but credit where it's due, you're consistant.
A few years back when TSB sponsered Rovers they put free or subsidised coaches on for our away fixture at Huddersfield. At the end of the game the coaches were all let out together, roudabouts, traffic lights and rights of way were blocked of by the police, and about 20 coaches were whisked out of the town centre to the motorway in a matter of minutes. Surely it must be in the best interests of the local plod to handle the situation in this way, rather than having incidents like todays. Is it a question of finance, or is it just lazy policing? It maybe depends on who would have to pay for this sort of escort/prioritising once it moves away from the ground.Surely the local police force are responsible for the safety of people entering or leaving our city, whatever the reason for them coming here.

| This is not an overreaction but certainly a misdirected reaction.
If I attend an away match and come back to my car parked on the public highway to find some tw*t has broken in or smashed the windscreen do I call the home club and ask them to sort it out ?
Yes it reflects badly on the City of Hull, yes it will discourage away fans from attending the KC, yes it's in the clubs interests that the culprits are caught (and given 20 hours community service), but it's a matter for the police.

I think Beetwaste knows the point exactly, as he for one, is talking sense.
The best you and your friend rockgod can offer is trying to laugh the situation off, and call people cockends because your levels of intelligence do not allow you to come up with a serious discussion, or anything remotely resembling an alternative view point.
Now, it's obvious to see that people like beetwaste, and no doubt 90% of your true supporters, would not try to brush this under the carpet and hide behind the fact that it apparently happened 2 miles away (if indeed it did ? ) and so consequently isn't YOUR CLUB's problem.
I'm afraid to say Sheldon and RockGod, that it is precisely people like you two who only add to the already terrible situation by demonstrating your intellect. As if Hull didn't have a bad enough name already.
So, why am I bothered ?
As a Rovers fan I am fully behind the new stand build at Craven Park (at a considerable cost) to encourage away support, thus consequently hopefully increasing our revenue stream - which in theory should benefit the long term good of my club.
So, I am bothered by these events, and they are not even directly linked to my club, whereas you two, along with one or two other mindless idiots don't seem bothered in the slightest and yet it is YOUR club's problem.
If you have a reasoned view point please make it, otherwise please do feel free to resort to back to the norm and divulge in expletives to try to gain some brownie points from like minded retarded folk.
I'll start you off if you like ... you're a knob rash
