At the end of the day the board, for whatever reason, believe in Agar, the only way he wont be Hull coach is if he walks, and he isn't going to do that because he'll never get a head coach job anywhere else in Super League, he's in a position where he is earning well beyond his worth and has responsibilities beyond his ability, there are many fools in this world, Richard Agar isn't one of them, capabilities for Aldi but working at Selfridges.

In all seriousness, and leaving aside the hypothesis that the board employ him because he's cheap and their only motivation is profitability (which I don't subscribe to) what do we think this reason [uis[/u? What are they seeing that merits a total contract of 4 and a half years? What is he delivering behind the scenes that we are not aware of? Kath's been around the game long enough surely to recognise coaching excellence, surely?

He will not bin it, he is answerable, if he is inundated with complaints he will have to raise the issue with the relevant bodies as part of his own accountability..
Not sure what good it will do at this point, the major factor will be results, I believe he has about 8/10 matches until the serious pressure kicks in..However if things do not improve Rich will resign before the board act or have to act..

Problem in more ways than one is that the cast iron excuse of injuries is back. We all know this is a red herring, but it just affords another season of protection to Agar.

You'd hope so, unfortunately for Richard this is a results business, the customers, by and large, don't give a monkies what is going on other than league position and performances, sometimes friendships cloud professional objectivity, I've seen it many times.

All most of us want is the best for Hull FC, and I am afraid Richard Agar is not in that category, but we'll be stuck for another two years at least.

Agar will not walk, he cannot afford to.

Was speaking to some-one attached at the club yesterday the thin ice is starting to appear contract or no contract



Apart from that Fitz (not him btw) was there giving out trophies to the younger ones (Gutted not our age group)...not too shabby though..

The problem is the "thin ice" is with people who are not the power brokers at the club.

Believe me it is thin ice with the people who count, like I say I believe 8/10 matches, we will see what transpires.

Most of the next 8/10 games are against opposition we should be winning ,starting with Wakefield on Friday, Then Quins , Catalans , Cas ,Saints , Salford Hudds and the Dragons again.
