| [list Quote: Irregs#16 "I think we need a prop now a back rower. Who have we got?
Props - Ese'Ese, Sao, Aydin, Ashworth, Fash, Gardiner, Wainhouse, Laidlaw,
Back Row - Lane, Holmes, Cartwright, Staveley, Jebson, Kirby,
Could do with 1 of each really, and a quick outside back
Staveley could play prop and think that's where he will end of. Cartwright could play there too, although I'd much rather have him in the backrow.

really? He looked good when he first burst onto the scene but has been pretty average the last 2 or 3 years.
Certainly has the build for it but seems to be something lacking. Maybe a change of club would help

Been pretty good, carried Leeds pack, but had no support,.
Think he'd be an excellent signing, but would be amazed if he left Leeds.

Indeed and certainly not looking good for Salford or the he game as whole.
I’d certainly take Deon Cross off their hands as think he’d be a very good addition.

Half a mill isn't a small amount of money.....
Bet the Salford fans who took a loan out to help the club are well chuffed.

| Even more interesting is who’s going to represent us at the meeting AP’s still in control until the buyout is completed. Fly on the wall if AP meets up with Degsy, who’s been less than generous in the press lately. Something like “Heyup you fat , FC’s considerably richer than you” Harry Enfield’s Lodsamoney springs to mind.

| Would be having a look at Deon Cross, Watkins and maybe Shorrocks at Salford, hopefully they get any issues sorted though it's never nice to see a club struggling like that (maybe with 1 or 2 exceptions )

It’s certainly more than a small issue to need £500K to see them through the close season and a real concern not just in the immediate time but for the coming season.
Would hope now we’ve released Walker, Tindall and Smith we can make a move for some players like Cross, Watkins, Ormondroyd and Hellewell.
And while it’s not nice to see clubs struggling if a deal can be agreed that benefits us and helps Salford & the game then it’s win win for me.
Cross would be a great addition and greatly improve us in the centres. Think Ormondroyd and Hellewell would both be decent additions and strengthen us and give more depth in front and second row options

Like you say it's not nice seeing them struggling again but something must give and if they have to release players Watkins would be a very good signing.
Now mainly a second row but can still play centre and is another leader. Age isn't a factor as he is super fit and rarely gets injured.

| Super League is lacking in quality, and it would be a shame to lose one of the better teams to watch. Or see it broken up.
Need as many decent teams as we can get.

| Without a quota spot there isn't much at Salford I'd make a move for, we are well covered in those positions or it isn't worth a fee for the other non quota players.
