I'm not buying that 'he was not effecting the game', becuase the try was scored down Martin's wing so it clearly did effect the game. If Ganson and his officials couldn't call that pass forward between them then they shouldn't be permitted inside the pitch boundary. And there was actually a stretcher on for Martin (albeit he was eventually end carried off on shoulders) but Stevie decided that playing on was a good option. Add in a 6-0 second half penalty count against and the odds were seriously stacked away from us. And as far as I can see this thread is entitled 'ganson' so it seems entirely fair to me to be discussing only his performance. There were other contributing reasons for the defeat but they're best discussed on other threads with appropriate titles. Ganson had an absolute nightmare end of.

I watched the game and eddies commentary was outrageous, he pretty much said he will always make a huge f**k up that will change a game in you case or snatch your team defeat from the jaws of victory like bradford v leeds in the first magic weekend, but hey thats just what he does, well if thats what he does why hasnt he been fired-like the ref in austailia who made a cock up that cost a team the game-or why dosent he get set down for the next week.

He simply brings the game into disrepute. From a performance like this to being p1ssed up in Perpignan the night before a game and making pretty bad comments about other referees to anyone who'd listen and onto beating up old ladies. Clarke of course has simply lost his senses and is now an imbecile.
We were still poor and it perhaps puts a marker down to establish some reality.
We , the RFL and our broadcasters have years of work to do and changes to make before we will see FC doing well in a well run , fair and successfull competition. Although Eddie can't see it , it is this sort of cr@p that will drive people away.
