Its over analysed.

Sissie Welham is a coward.

Every player on that pitch knows that the coward had 2 choices on how to hit an obviously open opposition player who could not defend himself.

1. Wipe him out with the intent to cause as much damage as possible or
2. Simply wait and see if the falling opponent tries to get up and continue (he had caught the ball)

THE GUYS A W4NKER...as proven by his continuous childish displays.

Wounder if he gets an injury so he can't play against us in the SL match. a026.gif

No he isnt a W*nker - he is typical of every rugby league player, putting in a hit on a player that would lead to a dominant tackle and pressure on us coming away from our own line. He didnt intend to injure at all

Pathetic.

You're as wet behind the ears as Reece is, he should have jumped for the ball. Why would Welham not tackle Reece at the earliest opportunity, instead, you suggest he lets him stand up, potentially avoid the tackle and run the length of the pitch through a jagged set of chasers.

Cheer up Mr Lyne, Welham will play in the next derby, Reece probably won't.

lets put into the correct context here
Our lad got creamed by a hit that would have had FC fans peeing in their pants had it been on dobson by yeaman or similar
no issue with the tackle, no issue with the hit itself, Lynne was wide open and there to get creamed , and creamed he was....
he isnt a full back as long as my sack dangles south and methinks he wont want to play FB again
hope the lad is ok now but hey its done its dusted he got wiped out and he will learn from it

spot on judgement late hits after the ball has gone are imo cowardly acts of violence the tackle in question was close to perfect. i would have liked him to go across after the score to check on a fellow young pro ott game on

Agree 100% and the total lack of any involvement or calls from any FC player shows the lads know he simply got creamed and thats all there is to it....
I do recal most of the KR lads were looking over with concern from afar and well done to everyone in red and white for their applause as he finally got up and limped off,
Listen Lynne is young and inexperienced and got a read bellringer which wasnt a lack of technique on his part but was as precisely timed a tackle as you will see , no one wants a young fella hurt but the name of the game is to smash the opposition and he got smashed he sat up with his head at just the correct height to be taken off and was lucky it wasnt worse however i doubt there was time for lynne to have covered himself as he was hit the very second he caught the ball.
good tackle , the KR lad has nothing to feel bad about, he just played the game ...
lets move on now we got beaten and looking for excuses as lame as this hit is well embarassing....

one game in and we will clearly get better and the opener against wire will be totally different again ..

Easier said than done, I know! But that's the lesson I'd get from this. It's all well and good being brave (bravo for that as well!), but if you're going to get knocked out being brave, it's not exactly the smart option.'"

couldn't have jumped for it. only just got to it as it was and more or less took it waist height, hence been wide open to the hit! the high kicks were moving all over in the wind that end! prob why hall got his so wrong for greens try,it was in that same end!

Quote: Tongan Mafia "Im all for giving young players a chance myself but he really needs loaned out to me as he just looks a weak link and I wouldnt have any confidence of having him as my fullback especially when we have good cover in Horne and whiting. Id even give Jack Briscoe ago as I just dont see any positives about this kid at the top level. He is one of the few kids im not excited about and Id like to see him prove himself somewhere else.'"

don't understand this thinking! he's always played in a struggling team on a troublesome right side for us! and on few times he's played in games that should have been good for him ie wakefield at home last year the team pull out unbelievably bad performances! can't have been on a winning hull team more than a couple of times! none of the young uns could have shown up much better in my opinion based on seeing a lot of 20s last year home and away! jack was moved from full back at that level long ago never mind first team. a winger now. horne at least needs a chance to strike a proper half back combo with seymore, and whiting offers nothing more as a full back that a safe pair of hands! and even he prone to odd errors! would be agar style negativity putting whiting there, especially since even he sees himself as a 2nd row! since i've seen reece at 1 albeit at 20s level i find it ludicrous to write someone off for a ten min display were they did nothing wrong apart from lose a ball after been knocked out!

The naivety of some posters on here is quite breathtaking.

Lack of.....if there was......reaction of players is down to numerous reasons.

Believe me when I say that 'there will be payback' coming to sissy welham.

If you believe that ALL Hull FC players are ready to pat sissy welham on his back and congratulate him....your seriously deluded.

All? You might want to rethink that.

TBF it was a great take of a difficult kick and he got the full force of a big hit. Hadn't done much wrong up to then (and knocking on while out cold is hardly crime of the century), so I'm happy to give him another chance if SuperWade is out icon_wink.gif

Everytime ive seen him play for the main team he has been very ordinary and the way people rave about him I just cannot see how it can be justified. And im surprised why they have put him at fb instead of the wing. He really needs to go on loan and get proper rugby instead of the u20's what aint doing him any good at all.
