The Independant says: Today the east, which contains the biggest council estate in Europe, is poor, a place of high unemployment and low expectation. The west, which has the city centre and the university, is posh and prosperous. In the Nineties when both teams were not doing well, and the obvious thing to the money men was a merger, the response from both sides was the same: "We're black, we're white, we'll never merge with shite".: |

| Someone should actually start a petition about Hetherington & Rule, the real cancer in our club.... Ask those that work there.

''RALLY ROUND'': |
|
| To be honest you have hit the nail on the head there. Do you really, honestly have enough faith in your board that they will replace the current coach with anything better?

| I appreciate the effort and sentiment that is put into this petition (even though I haven't read it), however it is very difficult for people in a private orgainisation to be sacked due to a petition. Calling for the sacking of a person in a public position would work, but unfortunately this is not the case. A form of action such as boycotting (not the best due to the damage it may do to the club financially), a sit in after the game, showing solidaroty by organising people to wear plain white t-shirts with a simple slogan like "Agar goes or I do...."!
To add to this the comment about Kath and Rule is very poignent, these guys are the one consistent in our failings. We are a big club, with a good financial situation however due to wage strcutures, and our insistence on making money instead of making a sucessful club is frustrating. People in the game know how bad they are and as such stay away.
Sorry for my first post to be a rant, but after the start so far it has to be said.
BUT if I am honest I am so pleased and proud to be a supporter of THE best Hull team, it could always be worse things could be red and white.

I would disagree. It doesn't take Wayne Bennet to see that playing a 34-year-old for 80 minutes every week in what is basically a prop's role is going to take its toll eventually. You don't need your SL coaching badge to see that playing another one of our 'props' (actually a second row playing as a prop) for about fifteen minutes a game is a bit of a waste. No other SL coach seems to utilise some of the baffling bench rotations Agar does - they can't all be wrong, can they?

Whilst it's not a course of action I would undertake, I don't really see how it's any more 'pathetic' than any other form of visual protest. What difference does it make whether you've got 'Agar out' on your shirt or on an old bed sheet?

Disagree really it is a form of protest, maybe a bit extreme but then only winning 3 games from the last 10 and letting him carry on is extreme imo.

You might want to wear a shirt on a non match day, it would look silly with that on it. What happens once he has gone. I stand by my original comment.

Maybe they don't wear replica shirts except to a match? Or maybe they can afford two shirts?... I wouldn't do it myself for the reasons you mentioned but if people want to then it's not 'pathetic' at all. You could argue that it makes quite a statement to the club i.e you're willing to put money into the club by buying merchandise, but you feel so strongly about the head coach situation that you're willing to permanently mark the replica with your protest.

So, it might take away the opportunity for you to wear your shirt whilst you're out shopping and will ruin your shirt for when Agar has gone. Some might consider that an acceptable sacrifice (I wouldn't personally, but some might). Whilst it might be unwise to spoil a £40 shirt for what will (hopefully) be a short term campaign, I still don't see how it's any more 'pathetic' than other forms of visual protest.

Do you reckon the club shop would be willing to do the printing for any interested parties?
