Doesn't change the fact that Hull originally offered a single year and he's now signed a contract for 2. So the deal on offer has been changed.

Great tackler and shuts down the middle, does a lot of work and I am happy he has signed. If we can replace Dowes if in fact he leaves with someone "we" all think is better then we will have done a good bit of business.

Rule was quoted as saying that Dowes had been made an offer for 2011 (in the singular), and that the same applied for Radford.

This is the thing, most fans won't know what money he is on and what the value really is as they won't know what other players wanted to come. The clubs have to manage the cap and I trust them to do that. The way our pack is set up now means Lee has to do less minutes which may also help him to get through another two years. Also some of his wages can be offset by the coaching he is doing.

It's good business for us I would not have wanted to lose Dowes, Radford and Yak in one fell swoop. If we can bring in a replacement for Yak/Dowes then I would be happy with that.

If Moa wanted to return to the NRL they'd be no shortage of suitors.

Webster? He's retired from playing.

Also it was showed with dobson. If fc have a price for someones worth they stick with it. I dont see any reason why this would change for radford

Poor. Clubs been held to ransome IMO, he's a plodder now so will only be worse in 2 years. Would rather keep him than Dowes for next year but for 2 years I'd have preferred Dowes (who i think is a poor player). Very disappointing, thought we was getting somewhere obviously not.

Not bang on at all. Lee was offered a very good deal by Rovers and would have been an integral part of the team on a 2 year contract and was on the verge of signing it. The only reason he spoke to them was when Hull only offered him a 1 year contract. Hull then extended his offer to two years on similar terms at the last minute so he stayed.

So your once again speaking %£*! that you know nothing about and just pretend to be in the know.

ETV - Similar terms to Rovers on similar terms to our one year deal? If he's on a "very good deal" then we've well and truly messed up IMO.

Less than Rovers I believe but obviously get an okay wedge from his testimonial to make up for it. He wanted to stay at Hull from day one but anyone in their right mind would take a 2 year offer over a 1 year in any job. He'll still be going strong in 2 years, he never stops training and injuries hardly affect him. Good signing for you IMO there's no way he'll end like Long, Sculthorpe etc .

Shame this isn't another of Expro's Red Herrings.

Worst bit of recruitment news so far. Radford shouldn't be anywhere near our squad next year let alone 2012!

If he plays in Super League his full salary counts on the cap.

I'm glad he has re-signed, the two year deal is a surprise though. If as looks likely we have missed out on Fielden then this is an important signing as available props are a bit thin on the ground.

Radders has an excellent apperarance record probably the best at the club after Dowes (ironically).
2006 31 from 32 games
2007 31/32
2008 29/32
2009 27/28
2010 25/27

A couple of the missed games weren't necessarily down to injuries either icon_wink.gif

Bit harsh icon_confused.gif

He was definitely worth another year and i'm sure he can bring something on the coaching front. Also if true and he had a better offer from Rovers, shown some loyalty, especially if he's taken a pay cut.
