I agree, I think we will get him. But I don't think Pearson will hang about, if the Visa doesn't come through in the next 2-4 weeks I think his attention will move to other players. |

As for chase, surely with him having a kid here he can apply for citizenship thus negating the need for a visa? |

You realise that if there were the issues with his application that have been claimed it would already have been refused by now? It may well still be refused, but at the moment the application is still in progress - and it was recent changes to the system that have caused the problem, not something that was already there. |

Maybe. But that might possibly be longer and more complicated than a work visa - or at least it would have been before the rule changes that apparently happened.
EDIT: In fact it looks like it might be changes to the family rules that have scuppered the deal:

AP said the change happened around the 9th July so it all fits. How long has Chase been with his partner? If it's more than 2 years but fewer than 5 then this rule change would kill the deal. |

Fair enough I will re phrase.
For the next 2-3 year money is not an issue for us.
Pearson has highlighted we will have 2-3 years of investment in order to improve our on the field product and academy set up. This will help set us up to be more competitive and help produce more quality from within. The increase in competitiveness and who knows maybe trophies will bring the financial rewards such as increase in gates and sponsors making us more profitable and paying back the out lay of the investment years.
If it all goes tits up then we will have to do what our neighbours are currently doing. |
