| Rapana good enough to play fullback for a decent NRL team and play really well there but not good enough to play FB for a team that won 3 games and finished 11th.

| I’m far from sold on our recruitment in general but the switch to fullback for Rapana is just natural progression in the modern game, it’s not the 70s or 80’s anymore these athletic outside backs are conditioned to play all back positions. In Aus if Cobbo goes on the open market he’ll go for marquee money for someone to play him fullback despite him only ever playing wing or centre.
Plus if Moy’s ready for a bit of game time at any point Rapana can switch back to wing or centre. As it looks like we won’t be bringing in another centre, personally I’d also look at keeping Walker to give us even more flexibility but looks like that ship has sailed for whatever reason.

We're relying on a 35 year old winger playing at full back, an obese half back, another who is about 35 and 2 hookers, one of who is really a half back but not really good enough to play there and another who was kept out of Salfords team last season by 2 half backs playing hooker.
Add in the worst centre partnership in superleague and a pack of forwards who are pretty much what we had this year, Holmes and asiata apart, and I have no idea why you think we'll do well'"

| Quote: Dave K. "I don't think Handley will make a good centre, as I don't think he has the passing game or defence to play there
As for not watching Sivo, I watched him loads last year and yesterday, he will score trys, but has alot of mistakes in him and if you watched the game yesterday you would have seen how dodgy he is under the high ball.
Anyway if you could read and be able to understand, i was talking about more the fact Leeds have two good non quota winger and a couple of good young kids, there pack needs strengthening more than wing, rather than his ability.'"
Agree with you on Handley at centre. If I was Brad Arthur I'd be sticking Sivo outside Connor. Think he'd get 20plus outside him.
Saying all that Sivo has been hot and cold for the Eels, if he comes over here switched on he'll be box office, but he could quite easily be another dud.

Nothing to suggest Walker will be leaving. He was training at Total Fitness with Litten the other day.
Hopefully he will stay which as you say, will give us more flexibility

His agent has publicly said he thinks he’ll be leaving despite being contracted for 2025. Agents do like to agitate to get a move for a client but if you listen to interview it seemed the opposite to me, it was like for whatever reason Hull wanted to move him on. He seems a good pro and actually has a lot of quality about him so would be a no brainer for me but reckon he’ll end up at Hudds to replace Connor.

| If walker doesn't leave then signing an nrl winger/full back is a poor decision when we're crying out for a quality centre

That's a fair point and that's the difference between you and Bonaire.
Still think your post above is way over the top.
Rapana, Seizer and Asiata are good signings.
Holmes and Cartwright are better than we have.
Cust is miles better than Smith.
Hardaker is a smart signing, robust, string and still performing at a high level
Definitely weak at centre, hope Walker stays.
Hopefully we get better value out of Ashworth and Sao.
Looking forward to the team bern fitter and more robust with a new backroom staff.
Exciting to see what Cartwright amd Last can do.
Definite doubts about the team.
But still think we are in a much better place than 12 months ago, on and off the field.

Fair points. In isolation nine of the signings are particularly bad, it's just the number of higher risk signings. Shirt or bust probably next year. We could finish as high as 8th but more likely 11th or 12th. I doubt we'll have our first choice half's playing together very often

Wait until after the forum with Adam Pearson and Myler when they promote all the new exciting signings.
No doubt after that there will be some on here taken in and think we will be a top four team next season

| Jake the peg-
Insulting folk as deluded as it differs from your perspective. Very mature..
Myler and Cartwright have played top level rugby league. So based on your logic and bonaires logic you’re labelling them also as deluded in signing these players.
Like I said before , if we can bring in a good quality middle then we’ve got a squad good enough to compete top 6.
Rapana played regular top Nrl.
Ryan hall same age yet failed in Nrl but he was a driving force behind kr resurgence.
to write him off when Cartwright has seen more of him than you have ..?
Myler and Cartwright are putting their reputations on the line and no doubt have given recruitment a lot of thought.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the team goes next season.

I said you're deluded because you think mylers RL equivalent of the dirty dozen will go well next season. Having read this post I must apologise as you're clearly clinically insane. Top 6?
Neither myler or Cartwright believe we'll be anywhere but bottom 4 hence they're not deluded. Our owner has come out and publicly admitted we won't win many games. No one with any knowledge of the game thinks any different. I have more chance of a threesome with sydney sweeney and Florence pugh than Hull FC have of finishing in the play offs next year

Eh so you’re saying you’ve personally spoken to Myler and Cartwright..and they confided. this to you.
I said we can compete top 6 if we can bring in another good quality middle.
