I've looked into (some of) the legalities and any transfer of ownership COULD NOT affect our lease or our option, or what it costs us, there are also (i believe) three deed of covenenants in place, one on the "public open space", one on the Canegie Library and one on the Fairground, but details are proving hard to come by (without paying a solicitor, which we've no need to do, yet)'"
When are the rent reviews and are their any limitations on rent increases?

from my understanding it's 25 years, and it' reviewed every three years (in terms of what we pay etc.) I can't find any details on limitations of the reviews.

I doubt it, that was one of the key things we secured when we moved, we can't expect it to be increased in my opinion, the SMC (and the stadium) need to return a profit.

I doubt he'd negotiate it down, wouldn't be in his interests.
I can't believe some people want this to happen, it would be suicide if that idiot got hold of the stadium, for both clubs.

| My concern is that he gts the stadium and land and then sells off City and leaves us both to pay extortionate rents. I feel locked gates all over again.

you believe him, that is up to you, I have to question why he's done nothing for 35 years, suddenly buys a football club, and attempts to become apparently benevolent.
He's no Marvell, Holtby or Wilberforce.

| allam may have no other motive than to leave a legacy for teh people of Hull, which is fine and dandy. Problem for us is that once he buys teh stadium then our home is directly linked to the financial success of the football club and his "sports village". It will be hocked to the lenders and should things go pop we'll likely find ourselves in a difficult situation.
Conversely, when the allam family decide to sell up, then we'll be left with a landlord who likely has no interest in our club.
Neither scenario fills me with much comfort.
The likelihood of a sports facility costing £100m+ in Hull being a financial success is pretty remote IMO

Perhaps the residents of West Hull should be asking the council what THEY have done for West Hull in return for the millions spent on East Park and the Preston Road regeneration?
As for the selling of the KC, I've spoken to a few people who are up in arms about this and have no interest in any of the sporting teams.

| The way the Allams are going about the whole business tends to rile many people.
[i"If I don't get the KC I will go to Melton and built one there"[/i is hardly helping to create an atmosphere of benevolance with the city fathers or the the general populace. City seem to buying a lot of bargain basement youngsters with a view to improving them over time, not the actions of someone aiming for the Premier division of the Football. To many things surround the whole aspect of the proposed deal as to leave many of us worrying we are being lead, pushed , dragged kicking and screaming to something now one really wants.
I remain confident that this whole thing will end up flat on its face shortly due to the Allams having to make some sort of publically accountable offer for the KC and at that point it hits the buffers. The local rag seem to be hand and glove in league with the Allams at the moment, with Radio Humberside also alighning itself neatly behind it. This does seem to give a head of steam to a mounting campaign to seel quickly and cheaply to the Allams.
