| Quote: Raggytash "Whilst I like Martin and Barron, I doubt either are at the stage to go to a high end Championship club and win the fans player of the season. To me, Wynne is like a better version of Briscoe. I always thought in a team with zero excitement - it was crazy letting a player like him go. Especially if we're signing a chronically overweight player like Abdul.'"
That's all guesswork, the fact no SL club have signed him tells its own story, he's a decent player, but with a history of a poor attitude.
Briscoe was and is a better player, if we sign him, maybe it stops the development of Barron, who has potential to be a good SL winger and better long term than Wynne.
The weigh thing is irrelevant, let's see how Abdul is, at the ems of pre season.

| Litten potentially missing start of the season.
Got to be looking at another centre now.
Think the club have messed up not using a quota spot on a centre.

Will they be looking though? Chamberlain and Hardaker were always going to be the first choice centres this year. Litten was only ever going to be a backup. Throw in Briscoe, Rapana and young Westerman as other centre options and they might feel that they are covered. Particularly if they feel confident that they can handle players fitness better going forward and lessen the injuries.
As for the quota spots, I think they have used a lot of the free places to bring in players that Cartwright knows and trusts which I think is a going to be a crucial factor in helping to turn us around as a club. Was there a centre available that fit that mold? I'm not sure.

Chamberlain isn't good enough to be a starting centre, ge should be a squad player. I'm sure he played more games in the backrow than centre for us.
Surely not every signing we maje under Cartwright is a player he trusts, limits our options.
