| Listened to Last's presser on FC Live. Interesting to hear how he feels this is more like his team now in how they go about stuff.

Mentions Tag saying how much the players would like Lasty as permanent coach. (Club Hull ).
There is a way of making that impossible not to happen.
I got a bit emotional all over again listening to him describe our first post Wembley open-top city victory parade.
Big daft sod!

Nah, you’d just spent all day in The Eagle and got something in your eye.

| The lads need to deliver to tonight.
Keep our discipline, with minimal handling errors. We have been better in these areas recently.
We have the pack and the impact players to score.
Can’t wait for the match. COYH!i

More like still inebriated in London.
Think Eagle was well closed by 2016.

Counting us out, and no news from Huddersfield, wonder if Ian Watson is earmarked for one of the other remaining five teams still left in the playoffs , maybe an Australian coach going home,

Probably being interviewed at the moment for the vacancy that Hull created across the M62 tonight!
No bets who his first signing would be for their pack?

As long as they pay us for him and we use it to sign an overseas 6.
Add someone of the quality of Hastings or Seizer would could be a real threat next season.

| Got to give Last the job now, we are clearly progressing and financially it makes sense than bringing in a bigger name right now.

I'm coming round to the idea myself. He's done everything asked of him and more. As you say in the current climate it makes financial sense. Even with a well known experienced coach there's no guarantee of success. A win or a decent performance in defeat next week and I think the job is his.

| I was in the “need fresh ideas” camp, but it’s becoming more and more difficult to not seriously consider Lasty for the job. Especially considering the circumstances in which he took over.
If Watson had coached that performance last night, we’d be waxing lyrical. Also think Last looks a lot more assured in himself with the media and in interviews.
I’m wary of the new coach bounce you tend to get, but you can see he’s got them set up very differently and playing for each other.

| The fact that he is a good bloke was never in doubt. His comment of, "If I don't get it I'll just be a loyal assistant Coach' spoke volumes.
But that doesn't make great Coaches sometimes quite the contrary but it's funny isn't it I was all for scrapping the Club Hull old boys stuff and getting new blood in but reading what he had to say before the game, seeing how all of a sudden we have loads of attacking ideas, watching a group of blokes who looked like strangers under the last Coach playing for each other and hearing the passion of the bloke has for the club we all love, I'm switching too.
The man has made some very very brave decisions (starting by dropping his captain, then his Marquee signing and playing a young half back that would have never got near the team under the last regime) when it would have been easy to just be a 'caretaker' and he appears to pick players on form not on the old pals act.
He certainly has more passion for Hull FC and totally gets the fans a lot more than any outsider would do. Under the circumstances for me he has done exceptionally well and perhaps he deserves a chance.

| Also remember a Last quote in the early days of his coaching career.
It was something like “If I wasn’t playing for them, I’d be on the terraces watching them”
Or something along those lines.

| As much as Lasty is a great guy and he has done a great job steadying the ship. I still believe we need fresh ideas to take us forward and become a proper top side.
We've been here before with assistants taking the top job on interim basis, given them the job and it's not worked out. Let's learn from those mistakes.
Who ever is in charge next season, I will back, support etc. But for me, Lasty isn't what we need to push us on to become a real top side.

| Think you could do a lot worse than Last, as most of your fans already recognise it was really difficult circumstances in which to take over the reins and you can see a clear steady progression since he has taken over.
What I find quite refreshing from him from the little I have seen of him speak is his honesty and his ability to not shy away from admitting he has got things wrong and take responsibility for it, it is something that very few coaches now actually do or shy away from.
