| Quote: Panda92 "Not too many. I'd love for us to get Ratchford, though, if possible, especially after the way that Horne's played this past season.
I'd like us to sign Moa, as I believe a starting front row of Radford, Dowes, Cusack, O'meley lacks aggression, whereas Dowes, Cusack, Moa, O'meley has the right balence of aggression and workhorses. Added to that that Moa is young and appears to love the club, I'd say sign him up as our last overseas player.
However, added to that, I would like to see a british (well, it'd have to be) halfback brought in, to add a little competition for places, to learn from Long, and also to add some much needed cover to our halves. I mean, I know that Tansey can play in the halves very well, but I expect him to be starting as fullback, and wouldn't want to be having to mess around all of our players if we have a s/o s/h injured.
The same goes for Washbrook, I'd like him to make the 13 shirt his own next season.
The only real cover for the halves at the moment is Turner, as I see Yeaman, Hall and Briscoe ahead of him for the halves, and Washbrook ahead of him for 13, so he is the only real cover for the halves that wouldn't affect another position in the lineup that we have.'"

Two Moa threads were merged, and this resulted in The Brother's post moving down. No posts were deleted AFAIK.

| I have some disturbing news for not only the FC Fans but also the Take Away owners of West Hull.
I have heard from a pal of mine who gives me a lot of gen stuff for the Diary and who is based in Leeds, that the word on the grapevine (Not that one) is that Sam has been offered a deal by the club which is a good one and within our salary framwork and on a par with a lot of the other players at our club.
However he is rumoured to have been offered a much more substantial deal by the Celtic Crusaders, who seem to be having difficulty recruiting players, and his agent is pressing him in that Direction. (Was'nt it always the case) My friend tells me that it is still not certain that Sam, who is now back from holiday, will go, he may still decide to stay but if the club were to match the Welsh deal, it would break their wage structure and I guess cause other problems down the line.
This is from a usually good source who usually has his finger on what is happening in the game in general, although he did tell me that we had signed Steve Snitch and that Rovers were after anny Brough and look what happened there!!! Still I share it with you all in the spirit of letting you know what I have heard!!!

If your source is right Wilf then as much as I would like him to sign I wouldn't be breaking any wage structure to do it. If he's been offered daft money elsewhere good luck to him if he takes it.

| If that's true and he does go to Celtic then that is fine by me. He has to do what he feels it right for himself and we should stick to our wage structure IMO and even if you don't agree with wage structures and all that then while he is an asset to our team he isn't worth breaking the bank over.
That said I do hope he accepts our offer if indeed an offer has been made.

That is definately something that there is no doubt about! If w believe what I am being told I just hope he signs for us and for the deal that is on the table.

Signing Sam, for me, is something that I really want the club to do, especially at the expense of some Aussie utility back. However, if Sam wants to go to some poxy little club for nothing more than financial reasons, I wouldn't want us to start matching silly money for him or indeed breaking our wage structure, if that is the case.

| if he wants to gamble on joining a developing club with little academy/training structure for the cash than that's up to him.
but he's at a stage of his career where a bad season or two would end his prospects at top level. At his age you either have to prove yourself or you become a bit-part player for someone.

| I'd like to think playing along side the likes of O'Meley, Fitzgibbon and Long would be enough to tempt him to take our offer. If he picks Crusaders then bloody good luck to him.

What a load of self righteous guff
Like most modern day players you follow the money. Simples. As for playing at Celtic, he'll probably get more game time there and their new coach will improve him a hell of a lot more than Agar would.

Likewise. I'd like to think that the calibre of player he'd be lining up alongside here as opposed to Celtic would swing it in our favour, but if he wants to take the cash I can live with that.

The quality of the new coach at Celtic may also swing it in their favour.
