Quote: FCFaithful Stu "SMC should never have been run by an interested party.

Will the council have the guts to remove Alllam and SMC as the management company, what are people's views on how close actions like these strain the brief of the SMC to the limit and therefore allow the council to act.

Could the council use this situation to show they are no longer willing to be undermined by a man who's sole aim is personal gain at any cost.'"

I don't think the Council can remove the Allams from the SMC, or the SMC from the stadium.

It's the last legacy of the Hetherington regeime for not getting involved at the outset, I bet "she's" wetting herself over all this.

I knew FC were reluctant to get involved at the start, daft decision as it was a way to safeguard FCs interests.
The moment FC weren't on board an independent SMC should have been established.

As I recall (and I may well be wrong) AP had already established the SMC and invited FC to "buy a seat" so to speak.

I know the answer already but I assume that Allam has already looked at the legal position and the council are stuck with the SMC. So what do they do about him, as this is going to get messy.

OK, that makes more sense. The council still decided to appoint the SMC though, which how ever you look at it seems like a conflict of interest.

In these things hindsight is a wonderful thing, had AP still been employed by the Allams then none of this would be happening, had AP not "sold" City and gone to Derby he'd never have bought FC, you can keep going round it as long as you like.

I honestly believe the Council thought FC would jump at the chance to be part of the management of their own home, what moron wouldn't..............................step forward Kath & Co

Quote: City1904 "Unfortunately the SMC should of being independent however Hull FC where not willing to or able to put the money up to get their say.

The issue is the media pressure may tell on the Allams, which unfortunately shouldn't, the Allams are not in the wrong for the use of their property. Neither Hull City nor Hull FC have any right to to put pictures up.

I understand your disappointment, however as a City fan i wouldn't even know whichone the John Whiteley suite is, or who he is. I didn't even notice inthe Kingston suite that your pictures where even taken down. At the end of the day though both of our clubs will still be here after the Allams, and both will still have pictures everywhere no doubt.

I think its got a bit petty and many people have gone over the top on both sides.'"

I understand that you have stated you will not comment further, but I can't help but thinking that you will keep an eye on this thread.

Firstly, as has been pointed out, to the Allams The KC Stadium is not [itheir[/i property. Something a lot of City fans find hard to grasp.

Secondly your comment of "Neither Hull City nor Hull FC have any right to to put pictures up." is difficult to verify. Despite not having read the lease agreement (something I doubt you will have either). I am confident there is nothing in the agreement between the tenants and SMC about hanging pictures on walls. I am also confident there is nothing in the agreement which states that either club CANNOT hang pictures on the walls. This leads to the main issue of implied terms of contracts. For the first 10 years of usage of the stadium there has been nothing preventing the showing of this memorabilia. Therefore it becomes implied that it is not a problem and its something which will not be challenged.

Finally, and connected to the second point. The SMC cannot change the terms of a contract (written or implied) without the consent of both parties.

Now that's the legals out of the way. If you cannot see the substance of what is happening, then you really do have a bigger issue to address.

Just a thought, if the boot was on the other foot how would the Hull FC fans react at the City rants?

My own view is if the boot was on the other foot and our owner was acting like this for no apparent reason but greed/generating more income or more likely a petty dig at the Council/Hull FC/AP I would be very worried....

Everything is currently going well at City on the pitch although loosing money hand over fist, what happens when the fans get on his back? Perhaps another Lloyd in the making if he owns the stadium it could also be the Tigers that are homeless!!!!!!!!!!!

I think all this with Assem Allam just shows him up for the bully boy dictator he really is?

Just more proof that as long as everyone bows down to him he's ok but should he not get his own way then he'll do whatever he can until he does.

The guy clearly has no morals for someone proclaimed himself to be the saviour!! Yeh right what a crock of that is.

The KC Stadium is a Community Stadium of the people of Hull and is NOT OWNED by Assem Allam which seems to be the root of the problem. As a Council owned facility the stadium should be full of the whole City's sporting history as a matter of PRIDE NOT PRICE.

My worry not only for Hull Fc but also for Hull City is that it could ge the end if both if the Allams get ownership of the Stadium.

All Allam has done is prove that HCC were right to refuse him rhe purchase of the KC never mind the fact he never actually came up with an offer that was even remotely market value.

Finally Mr Allam it seems you have made yourself wealthy but sadly with all your money you can not buy humility, honour or gratitude and would rathet ride roughshod over a city and its people who gave you a safe place to live and raise your family.

re: Mr Allam please take note's I said on another thread, the Allam's have not only made 3.5 million available to Steve Bruce but have also ploughed another 7 million in to keep the Club on an even keel. Our debt to them is now over 50 million. It is also common knowledge now that the Allam's were intent in securing the KC Stadium as part of a development plan. This has not eventuated because Hull City Council stopped it.They cannot keep doing this and have to get some return. The EPL is one way to do this but would they simply use that money to wipe off the Clubs debt to them leaving us to come crashing down once more?We are between a rock and a hard place just now but I believe their EPL aim is for next season when we have got rid of all the old 'high wage earners' and can set the Club back on track.

Could he be trying to get more money from Hull fc for what he's but into ty

Already has so I'm told. They received their invoice the same time as we did although not sure whether they have paid it in full or not.

As Standee says, we must not let this matter drop. All FC fans living in Hull should contact their ward councillor and their MP to let them know the strength of feeling on this issue. Politicians like nothing more to be seen to be in tune with the public mood.
