In regards to the signing of Bell I’d have preferred us to have used up the remaining quota spot on a better quality option. 
Whilst he’ll no doubt be an improvement on what we have, genuinely feel we could have put the remaining quota spot to better use. 

Regarding the signing of Bell….we can all debate the merits and no merits of him but it’s Cartwright and Mylers decision so let’s back them eh….its not as though they don’t know whet they are doing…well,according to one poster on here they dont

Reliable info? I’ve seen his name mentioned as a possible target on here and social media and a few people now clearly parroting that as some kind of inside info, not actually seen or heard anything concrete that he’s even a target. To me it looks like people are just guessing because he’s not getting a game and Newcastle have a bit of a cap squeeze. We have cap space so 2+2 makes 5. 

Would offer something different though in a couple of positions I’d be excited if it happened. He’s struggled defensively over there so not sure Cartwright would be that keen as both our current half’s are decent in defence but he’s an exciting attacking player. 

Someone mentioned that we could have got a better backrower from the NRL, I'm not so sure, it's a huge gamble, Warrington have brought in Russell who has never played an NRL, early days, but he doesn't look up to standard, that's a club that regularly finishes in the play offs and can offer money and location. Same with Leeds, they have signed a couple that have never played NRL. Better to have who we know is a good SL. I still think the club are confident tehy will get him off quota.


With regards Pryce, he has done OK in the NRL, impressed on debut and looked good in the NSW cup, I just don't think he is good enough for the NRL, but he should come back much improved and think he would be a good signing, would work well with Sezer and has some real place about him.


Apart from the odd comment on social media, I haven't seen any firm links with him.


We do need another halfback though for next season.

Id also be trying to get him in this year, unlikely he gets a game for the Knights at first grade, even Hastings can't get a game and they have Gamble to come back and will probably sign Dylan Brown for next year too. 


He played in the NSW cup at stand off, scored a try and kicked 6/6 at the weekend.

This is how I see it, people seem to be just putting a name out there. One thing that looks certain now the ridiculous Brown deal has been confirmed this morning is that Pryce will be on the move end of the season. I think he’ll have a few interested over here and depends on how much he’s enjoying it over there might get a similar gig in Aus as a squad player. If he wants to move now that would give us a little bit of an advantage if we are actually interested. 

Wasn't totally sold by Pryce during his time at Huddersfield and was quite surprised he got an NRL deal, however its easy to forget he's still only 22 years old.

Certainly a talent and isn't much better around who don't count to quota.

The Brown deal is bonkers, he is good, but he will be highest paid player in SL and ne where near that, 4 better players at the storm than him for a start.
