| Quote: El Chupacabra "Well St Helens had Cunningham, Long, Pryce and Wellens, and when fit Sculthorpe at Loose Forward as attacking pivots, so why shouldn't we do the same by having Washbrook as loose forward?'"
Washbrook or Sculthorpe (fully fit), am struggling to find the comparison.........Unless you mean an unfit Sculthorpe as there is no comparison to Sculthorpe in his pomp.
In answer to your question, if Washbrook were of a calibre of Sinfield, Sculthorpe or even Westerman then I would see your point but he isn't and I doubt he ever will be so can't see the issue with Fitzgibbon at looseman

| How come at the end of last season everyone on here was basically getting wood over Lauaki, and how we all thought he'd be great, but now, before our season has even started, all I've seen for the past week is 'Oh, Lauaki, he's shiit, waste of money, don't want him, he shouldn't be in the 17, he can't tackle a 5-year-old, etc' ??? ffs

I think it's because most people (on here, at least) struggle to form a reasonable opinion, usually having to be an extremist on one side or the other.

| Not forming any opinions of any players till i have seen them play a few games. Last years performances areforgotten about and each and every player starts tomorrow with a clean slate.
Not overly impressed with Agar however he sees the players up close and personal and I HOPE he is picking players based on their form (hard to pick on form but you know what i mean). Again i will reserve judgement but he needs to make better interchanges tomorrow than he did last season.

Grow up and form a reasonable opinion.

| Hame strikes me as the sort of player who might struggle a bit in the first few weeks of the season, then, as the grounds get firmer and the weather warmer, he'll become quite unpleasant to play against.

If someone runs straight at you and you miss the tackle, its awful and that happened alot with Hame. I dont care if its the 1st pre season game, he was the only one who dropped of alot of tackles.

Actually, while I wouldn't go as far as SS has done I [idid[/i notice Hame missing a few tackles against Rovers. Now that may have been ring-rust or not quite full fitness - and I'm certainly not going to write him off on the basis of one performance - but it has raised a slight concern with me TBH.

Fair comment I felt it happened with a few, however early days reaching match fitness etc, out of all who maybe raised a slight concern with me in this area Hame is the least of my worries in this dept.
