Exactly what I meant, TBF all areas that can be improved with age and experience.

| I was reading a Gary Schofield article yesterday about Andrew Johns, he works as a freelance halfback coach in the NRL. I think this is what Miller and other young halfbacks at our club could do with, their must be someone who has retired from the game who could do some work with our halfbacks, someone like Lee Briers would be perfect.

Fair enough. I thought it was an "in the know rumour = bullshine" comment

| Quote: Carmine Galante "The knee jerk from the OP is similar to to the knee jerk that a lot of Hull fans had over the RL weekly critising Miller.
Like always the truth is in between, he's a high profile signing that has probabally flattered to decive up to now, understandable given the circumstances.
Regardless of him being an Aussie or how much money he's on, he's 21 with a few issues but he's got a top pedigree and shown glimpses of class, he needs to start the season with Rankin and be given a run of games, if that means a few in and out performances so be it, can't complain about signing over the hill halfbacks if we don't give the younger ones time to develop.
Because if there's one thing the last 15 years have taught us, we're not a big enough club to sign a top halfback at the top of there game like Chase etc.'"
Mark O'Meley was a high profile signing
Craig Fitzgibbon was a high profile signing
Gareth Ellis was a high profile signing
Miller has not done anything to be regarded as high profile.
Miller is still learning his trade and has shown enough not to warrant the reaction of the OP. That said, he need to start the SL season running and making a difference in games.

I would put Miller on a similar level to Moa when we signed them. Like you say i could understand the criticism if he was a high profile player with years of experience but he had minimal game time in Aus (9 games for tigers over a season and half) before coming over.
As for the OP quoting Schoey

On what grounds? This is a discussion forum. The topic is Miller. I gave an honest opinion. East Hull FC asked me to explain my stance ( are you still keeping up?) and I gave him my response . He replied with a fair comment.
satisfied?

| Miller has promise and that's about as far as it goes.
Never seen Rankin play so wont pass judgement.
Horne experienced but unlikely to stay injury free.
If we finish 9th I'd view that as decent season.

No you wouldn't, you'd be on here moaning.
Personally I think anything less than 6th is a poor season

Probably. I actually think we'll finish 10th but I'm feeling in a positive mood today.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

He did, stopped doing it in 2012. He works with just Manly now.
Still a good idea though, I always thought it suited Long.

I agree with the comparison, however Moa was a project who was signed as a fringe player on a fringe player's salary.
Miller is also a project, unfortunately he has been signed as first choice scrum half on a relatively high salary.
Is it wise to sign a project on a high salary to play in the most pivotal position in the team?
The answer is embarressingly obvious and illustrates why we are not threatening the top 4 despite being a big club paying up to full salary cap.
Just my view but I have not seen enough to suggest that Miller will make the grade. Really hope to be proved wrong.
