after reading the posts after mine, and now that im better informed as to other top teams pass sales. i think it would be fair to say ive definitely over estimated that we could have reached 10k by xmas, and also that ive underestimated how significant the recession has been

Clever backpeddling isn't going to compensate for having once had a clueless to$$er in charge of the economy for a long time. Ordinary folk are getting poorer because they are having to pay for previous governments incredible mistakes - it's what Tories do...
by the way i am neither red or blue but can see the mess for what it is rather than the usual Hull blindly following labour party regardless of their performance routine....
John Prescott dont you labourites just miss him eusa_boohoo.gif

so the previous years under Labour were a major sucess then ,

I was actually backing up your comment if you read the full thread.

Anybody know what happens when you've fully paid by direct debit? Do they post the pass or does it have to be collected?

Asked this question yesterday whilst getting tickets for friendlies and was informed that they are available for collection at the end of January once the final DD has been debited (for those who applied in Sept), didn't ask whether it could be posted.

I was in the first tranche and it was as easy as phoning up and asking for them to be sent for £2 as I was out of town. The VERY helpful lady posted them the same day and they were at my house 24 hours later - if you're collecting I would assume it's even easier.

Quote: east hull FC fan "That article doesn't offer up any 'new' evidence. Rightly or wrongly Labour will be blamed by most for this economic mess we're in and my worry is that with Ed Milliband in charge and Ed Balls, armed with nothing but a Keynes textbook and his fingers crossed, then we won't see a Labour government any time soon.'"

Is that significantly worse than the partial reading of The Wealth of Nations that got us here? Labour rightly get the blame, because it happened on their watch. But it isn't like the Tories were calling for more oversight and regulation when they were in opposition. In fact, they were the ones who dismantled it in the first place and they've done precious little to rebuild it, preferring to focus solely on spending - a big issue, which has exacerbated the problem, but not the underlying cause. Almost the entire political and economic establishment misjudged it over about three decades, and they aren't really facing up to it even now.

Some way o/t - sorry.

No, it absolutely isn't and I agree with all you say. My words were more in mocking of the two Ed's than the literature.
The problem we have is that we are largely a service industry Economy, as most wealthy nations are. So when you look to implement Keynesian ideas, it's the very people who got us into this mess that are going to need the injections into the economy so they can get us out. Which politicians are going to stand with the financial sector, given its popularity? And I like you, don't have much confidence in their ability to learn.
