Funny you mention that Jason Smith shouldnt be classed as a legend because of his off the field behaviour, but want Crooks included in the hall of fame?

I think we all kmow that Crooks was no angel off the field.

Compared to Smith he was!

Lets face it the Hall of Fame is a joke at present, how can it even be taken seriously without Big JW??
Cooke should not be in there for what he did to the club and neither should a few others mentioned as they were bit parts over two seasons

Paul Eastwood can hold his head high at the KC my friend, have a quick squint back through the diaries and you have all the info you need but certainly for me a great but not legend!!

Don't need to read through any diaries my friend to know about Paul Eastwood. Saw pretty much all of his games for the B&W's.

He certainly wasn't a great

how strange that many including the GB selectors thought different, when on form he was electric, but not a legend and I for one thought he was a great player !!
I also seem to be in the minority that thought Wilby was a decent player when he first showed!! whats wilby doing now???

Defining a legend is difficult as we can all argue on differing players merits.

1) Its what the player did for FC eg champions 5 Challenge cup 5 pioint regal trophy 4 points Play offs 2 Yorks cup 1 point

2) His Length of service 1 point a year

3) His standing nationally/internationally 5 points for being a full GB international 2 point for Home countries/SOO

4) His personal life and off field activities 10 points for a national honour, 3 points for Lance Todd, 2 points Harry Sunderland etc


Using this sort of system to make it fairer.

A rough check of that would mean some like John Whiteley would end up with very high marks and Peter Stirling would score quite low.

Would them have to be gained whilst at the club

I could and will argue that Peter Sterling was a great player and it was awesome to see him in a Hull shirt. He did IMHO hit the hieghts of say Toppo or JW on the back of two short ( very short) spells at FC.

lets be honest apart from best..raynor has been fc's top winger for nearly a decade..seeing as we aint had many good ones in the last 10 years...he was miles better than sing,blacklock etc....eastwood maybe???? not even mentioning the tripe we had when we was in the first division.!!!!!!!!

better than Eastwood, errrm, nope.

As good as Sing and Blacklock, no better, unless you count going sideways and assault charges.
